I don't see why he has to move to a completely foreign weight class to him and fight the top of the top immediately just because hes p4p 1.
He's just fought every champion at 168 in order to unify the division in the space of a year - he can choose to whatever the **** he wants and to be honest, going up to Cruiser to try and win a title there sells and makes $$$$
Most Russians are not small enough to fight in lighter weights. Provodnikov is from Siberian Asian ethnicity. Not sure which one.
Starts his career winning titles at 154... unifies at 160, undisputed at 168, wins a title at 175 and now wants to fight up at Cruiser Yet still gets accused of ducking Lol
The reason that ginger thief dropped that WBO LHW strap like it was molten lead, just like I told you all he would, and ducked back down to that graveyard division to unify as opposed to doing so at 175 is because he knew that if and when he eventually did decide to venture back up again Beterbiev would be a bare minimum of 37 y/o and on the slide or well past his best and ripe for the picking. 160 and 175 were immeasurably more difficult to unify at the time than that barren wasteland 168 was. This is how many of these devious multiple weight champions like Clenelo's minds work Step 1 Jack yourself full of industrial amounts of PEDs to help you bridge the gap as you ascend through the divisions Step 2 Cherrypick the weaker champs as you move up and down the weight classes whilst avoiding the real legitimate and stylistic threats when they're active and in their prime and age them out or wait for them to get picked off by someone else or finally manage to pluck up the courage to face them when they're on the way out or after they're coming off a year or two of inactivity Step 3 Weaken them with catchweights, rehydration clauses, and short camps It's a tried and tested formula and casuals fall for it everytime Where art thou Marvelous Marvin a nation turns its lonely eyes to you
The insanity.... How dare Canelo not fight 10 times next year and fight every champ between 175 and HW while defending his undisputed 168 titles... This danm LMW rat, how dare he test the waters 4 divisions over his natural weight... Coward. TBH I wish he would defend against DB though.
It's just an excuse to pick up a paper belt...it's a joke tbh...if he said he was going to cruiser to fight breidis I'd be bulling him up...far better challenge than beterbiev or bivol...but...it's makubu...who got flatlined by bellew ffs...he's not bad..but he's the weakest champion
Clear swerve. AB and DB are very clearly more talented, proven at the elite level, and far more skilled than Makabu. And you know it's a clear swerve when Clenelo ain't having trouble making 168/175.
