In terms of sheer, God given talent, Sanchez was more gifted than either Chavez or Canelo.

Not a bad post by any means.

Where I would disagree, however, is that I would rate Camacho and Haugen over Diaz and Cassamayor. Moreover, other than Brits, who routinely (and some might even say absurdly) overrate their fighters, no one expected Smith to beat Canelo. Similarly, most serious observers figured Kovalev had very little left.

I believe the argument is there for debating camacho and haugen vs diaz and cassamayor.
I certainly rate camacho as best of the bunch, but I think those 4 wins are all at least within reasonable debate.

I agree about the Brits overeating their fighters, but that's not Canelos fault. even boxrec had Callum Smith up there and STILL has Kovalev number 1 for some un Godly reason.
but most of all I have been impressed with Canelos ability to jump weight classes and take on top level fighters.

I think as long as Canelo can avoid tarnishing his legacy by hanging on too long, and getting knocked out by up and coming new comers like ODH (although chavez did fight him tough) and worst of all Kostya Tzyu, he should surpass the great JC, but I will take 2 or 3 more solid wins against a Charlo or Bivol type fighter, or even Beterbiev should he ever decide to fight again.

I am not at all sold on Beterbiev, but the boxing know it alls have dubbed him the greatest thing since Bob Foster, so I dont wanna hear any excuses once Canelo beats him!

    Fair play.

Should Canelo run the table on Bivol, Beterbiev, and any one of the remaining talent at 168 (Plant, Benavidez e.g.), than I think you may have strong argument. In terms of sheer talent, however, I rate Sanchez as the greatest Mexican fighter of all time.

Canelo is the biggest fraud in boxing today. Only Mayweather can challenge him for that title. At least Canelo can FIGHT!! a bit Floyd never could

Chavez has plenty of controversy himself.
Taylor and Whitaker fights, the Randall rematch, ODLH first fight.

He was a warrior but let's not pretend he didn't also enjoy A-side benefits as one of Don Kings main attractions while Tyson was in Prison.

No he didn't. Taylor got up and Chavez was across the ring with 2 seconds left. He couldn't have possibly landed another punch.
It was a great effort by Chavez, he's one of my favorite all time fighter's but the truth is the truth.
Also what do you think about the fact that Taylor would have only won a razor close split decision if it had been allowed to go the distance??

No need to start insulting for no reason, I don't even know you.

But every forum & every poll Ive seen rank Pacquaio above Floyd or Canelo.
Even the great Mexican fans themselves say Pac >>>>> Canelo & Floyd
Mexican fight fans appreciate FIGHTERS!!!! Not DIVAS!!!!!
