I do think there is a fair question here. A couple of years ago, according to Oscar's own words, Canelo needed time to "grow into his body" to make 160. Now a year later he can make 168?
You can't read very well, can you? I already said GGG wouldn't even take a Fielding fight. He would consider it a joke.
If Canelo had any balls, as fanboys keep saying about him, he is in his prime at 28, so he should first fight Charlo, then Lemieux, then Jacobs, then Saunders, then Andrade, Derevyanchenko, then Murata. Total BS he is going up to fight a Fielding when he has so many great fights he could make at 160. The guy is a ducker. Biggest ducker in the game right now.
Yeahhhhh... I'm sure folks who say someone who has faced Mayweather, Cotto, Golovkin twice, Lara, Trout and a bunch of others like Kirkland and Angulo is a cherry picker aren't emotionally influenced folks who have making the same claim for almost a decade and only been proven more wrong as time goes on. I'm sure of it.
Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. Anyone with (eventually) three fights on their record against GGG isn’t a cherry picker. That Canelo is back in the ring this side of Xmas says a lot about him. And regardless of what people say, he’s in against a large Super Middle world champion. What more can you ask following that GGG war?
its a warmup for a new division, who wouldnt want a warmup? very few guys dont warmup unles their intention isnt all there (khan and brook). in fact, what you should be arguing is that his warmup is too high a standard, taking on one of the top contenders there! also, hes just been in the ring wth an elite (arguably not a strong one, perhaps a "weak" elite, but still) twice.
Lara and Trout aren't the kind of fellas a champ ducks, Mayweather was never gonna hurt him and Cotto was smaller and older and tbf finished. GGG was older and one eye on the door imo. Can you not see how its carefully orchestrated. Its not Canelo, as hes a beast and as tough as anyone in boxing today, its the little cross dresser behind him, without Oscar, he might have 2/3 loses more on his record but it would be far more respected by a lot of haters..I cant pick a fault with him bar the failed test, its all Oscar's doing getting him the rep..If Oscar wasn't involved, Canelo would've fought GGG a lot sooner
He wouldn't of got the Canelo fights if he did, the money fights, anyways why they not contending with each other for a shot..The champ can only do 1 fight at a time, them fellas need to cross swords too not just with GGG
