exactly the same thing over here... i called a razor thin canelo victory but this is ridiculous

 

trout didnt rise to the occasion in this bout... he was pretty one dimensional in his boxing. canelo on the other hand grew a LOT since the lopez fight.

The one dimensional aspect of Trouts game came out of hesitation due to Canelo's power. When you're dealing with someone that can hit that hard, you're going to be hesitant to throw that straight left cross. The half step back, straight left counter was there, but he was afraid to commit with it.

 

I thought he was tired. He was looking like Anderson Silva on the ropes with his hands down like that.

Best part of his game tonight was his defence. I think he was out to prove something because he kinda went out of his way to show that he had just as much defensive skill as offence when there really wasn't much need. Impressive stuff though.
