Yep. You think he's bluffing? Why didn't Canelo call out the bluff and send the contract?

While I agree with the Canelo haters to an extent, that he should fight Benavidez, that he's ducking him. At the same time, Canelo really doesn't have to prove himself against this guy. The WBC should have already made Benavidez his mandatory by now, but they haven't, and Benavidez moving up to 175 for a fight in June doesn't really help his case. All it shows is that Benavidez doesn't really belong at 168, if he's choosing to move up to 175 and campaign at that weight then he has no claim to challenging Canelo at 168.

Yes he's interim champion, yes we all see him as the most dangerous opponent, but Benavidez isn't exactly an angel. This is a guy stripped in the past for doing coke, missing weight, and now he's essentially begging for a Canelo fight. It's sort of pathetic in a way how this guy continues to whine about it not getting the Canelo fight. But I do get the other side of it, that Canelo should just agree to fight him, to prove he's the best, to prove he's not ducking anyone. I agree with that too, but to Canelo's credit, it's not like he's taking on some bum. Munguia is in his prime 43-0 with 34 KOs. Canelo is not taking easy fights. Even Jermell Charlo who people now are trying to trash was an Undisputed Champion who had already proved himself against quality contenders, albeit at a lower weight, but still a quality proven Champion.

I admit, I'm conflicted on this one. I'm not gonna start crying about Canelo not fighting Benavidez, but I would like to see it and if I were Canelo I would take the fight just to prove the haters wrong. On the other hand, Canelo is still being accused of ducking GGG, which in my estimation really isn't fair, because of the unusual situation of how he won the title against Cotto at a catchweight (imposed by Cotto) and the fact that he had never fought at the Middleweight limit before he fought Chavez which was the tune-up for GGG. It was unreasonable to expect Canelo to fight GGG in his first fight at the Middleweight limit, regardless of the belt situation. Nothing wrong with wanting to fight an actual Middleweight before stepping in there with the boogeyman of the division which was GGG.

I understand the criticism a lot of fans have of Canelo, but I do think some fans go too far with their expectations. Munguia is a serious opponent yet we have people acting like Canelo's just gonna walk through this dude like he's nothing. If that's the case then Canelo is truly an ATG. This is going to be a very tough fight for Canelo. You can criticize him for ducking Benavidez, I think that's a valid criticism. But at the same time he also deserves credit for taking on Munguia. This is not an easy fight, not by a longshot.

He might not seem scared of Trout, Lara or GGG BUT all 3 of those guys arguably actually BEAT HIM!!!.
GGG really beat him TWICE!! BUT as we all know, if we are honest, it was Vegas blatantly corrupt officiating that GIFTED Canelo those decisions not his skill. You see everyone, even Canelos cheerleaders admit that the Vegas boxing scene & the NSAC are the main reason Canelo is where he is They call the coward
!!!!!! The King of Boxing !!!!!!! he prances around with that silly crown on his head being made to look ridiculous Yet STILL they support him !!!!!!!!! No wonder the sport is literally on its knees Does he not realize that he makes himself look foolish ????? Both Canelo & Floyd do the same stupid things, You can throw Ward in with them too They're DIVAS not Champion boxers Tjhat is why I have absolutely no respect for either of them
Canelo those "wins" will ALWAYS be tainted

Canelo didn't just lose to Bivol, Dmitry Bivol whipped his ginger azz & embarrassed him. His excuse was
:crybaby2::crybaby2:Bivol was too big:risas3: Yeah at weigh in he was a whopping 4 ounces heavier ROFLMAO
Its not Bivols fault that Quacknelo has short stumpy legs

115-113 x3. Some embarrassment to give Bivol the closest match of his career in Bivol's weight class.

At least Canelo had the balls to take on that kind of a challenge. He gave Dmitry a great fight, he came up short, no shame in that. When you take risks like Canelo does, losing is always a possibility. But you gain respect by taking on tough challenges.

In all honesty I feel that you are extremely naïve & you blindly worship a hero that is really nothing more than a cossetted DIVA who has been Protected by Vegas boxing plus the state commission OR you are a top rated Troll almost in the MVC class. I feel sorry for you actually Shadow I think you really believe Canelo is The King of Boxing & a superman

That's a mischaracterization of my position. I made it quite clear that I agree with the Canelo haters to an extent when it comes to fighting Benavidez. I think you need to increase your reading comprehension just a tad before you jump to conclusions based on your own flawed preconceptions.

If the judges were honest in their scoring it would have been Bivol 118-110 x3 He barely won 2 rounds
Well Shadow all I can say is that if you think 115-113 x 3 to Bivol was the correct scoring there is only one answer Youre an ok guy you obviously love the sport but Sorry you really DKSAB do you

I never said I agreed with 115-113 but I said I didn't have a problem with that as there's an argument that Canelo won the first four rounds, all of which were close, and he won round 9 clearly. But there's also an argument that Bivol won some of those first 4 as well, so I don't have a problem with those who had it wider than the judges had it.

I'm curious as to where you got that number because the only numbers I've seen said 49k tv buys in the us (for 2 us based fighters) and estimate it to be 150k total but nothing concrete though. And Golovkin was never much of a draw himself to be fair. And Golovkin definitely hitched a ride on the elevator too, he just took it less floors than Benavidez.

Dan Rafael said Benavidez Plant did approx 175k that is TV and streaming combined.

So anyone who is demanding Canelo fight a risky fight is just a hater who wants to see him lose? lol. You are not a real boxing fan your a fan boy.

Hard to buy that when he's the only one in the world with that number lol. But ok let's say it did, that's still not great. What are the standards for a successful ppv now? "Whatever my favorite guy can manage to sell"

Nah I'm definitely not a fan boy, fan indeed and I respect the grind and accomplishment of great fighters. I also like to watch David's fights I like good action. Want to see him in the ring with Alvarez whenever it does happen. But I also understand the politics of boxing and that Daivd is a minnow trying to move a whale in a business capacity. And I also observe to how guys don't bet on themselves to get these fights and play it so safe they push themselves farther away from it. Pay attention.
