Then you really agree with me when I say boxing as a combat sport is on its last legs. The only think I can do is not contribute to the downfall by buying the trash they put on PPV. If everyone that is a true boxing fan did this then things might change. I feel so sorry for the guys in the sport who are better boxers than the so called elite but do not have the financial backing the cash cows do. I'm so glad I have the PBR to watch there no corruption there just Man Vs 1500-2000 pound bull & last 8 sec

Canelo is deathly afraid of a Dmitry Bivol rematch at Canelo's supposed right weight 168 !! because Dmitry literally took Canelo to school, proved he was the better boxer & the better man, when he embarrassed the so called King of Boxing who's pathetic excuse "Bivol was too big" ROFLMAO all 4 ounces too big at weigh in.
I guess Canelo wasnt to big for Khan, Charlo & the others he dragged up two weights huh ?????? lol
What a Fraud that guy is

Truth is Bivol was deathly afraid of a rematch against Canelo at 175. Which is funny CJ because had the match been at 168 like you wanted, you would have accused Canelo of trying to weight drain Bivol.

How about giving Canelo credit for moving up to Bivol's weight and fighting Bivol at Bivol's weight. Then wanting to rematch Bivol again at the same weight the first fight was in. The fight that you claim :
If that were the case, if it was such a schooling, if it was so easy for Bivol, then why wouldn't he rematch him again and school him easily again at 175? Bivol wouldn't though. Bivol knew he escaped that first match by the skin of his teeth. He felt Canelo's power, he felt that bruised bicep. Clearly ducked the rematch. He wants to challenge at 168 though, and that would be great. How bout this, if Bivol beats Beterbiev and becomes Undisputed at 175, and if Canelo beats Munguia, then they can fight for all the belts at 168. That's would be history making. But can Bivol get through Beterbiev, can Canelo get through Munguia. A lot of possibilities to look forward to.

Why is Benavidez the only fighter in his 63 fight career that he is pulling this supposed hustle with? Why not with Charlo, Mungia, GGG?

Charlo or Mungia are not even close to Benavidezs level. GGG he waited till GGG was older before fighting him and still lost.

Perhaps it has something to do with the amount of disrespect and **** talk Benavidez Sr has been saying about Canelo over the years. Canelo's big on respect, and people like the Benavidez's who disrespect him, lie about offers, etc is not going to cause Canelo to want to give him a peydey especially when there's other more respectable contenders like Munguia out there who have more fights, have more wins, have been in there with better competition throughout their career and thus are more deserving. Munguia also hasn't had discipline problems outisde the ring like Benavidez. Munguia is a more respectable guy and Canelo is more willing to give fighters who show him respect the opportunity rather than fighters who bad mouth him who whine and complain about not being handed fights like Benavidez.

Munguia is more skilled and more disciplined than Benavidez. The only thing Benavidez has on Munguia is reach, height, size. Benavidez is a more physically imposing force but Munguia is a more well rounded fighter. Plant was schooling Benavidez early on. Munguia has been more active than Benavidez and has more impressive performances. Remember what Munguia did to Gabe Rosado, Gabe Rosado was in the midst of a career resurgence and Munguia just pieced him apart. Jamie Munguia is P4P better than Benavidez. Benavidez I would say is more dangerous, more physically imposing, but not a better or more skilled boxer.

Canelo’s plan to find the highest bidder just failed. Apparently Turki Alalshikh just said no to Canelo’s $200 million deal, but ironically is interested in paying Benavidez should he fight Bivol or Beterbiev. That’s a huge FU to Canelo lol, but then someone else who has a ton of money might still be out there willing to pay Canelo for it.

Canelo's strange reluctance to engage Benavidez is the best thing that could possibly happen to his reputation. No Canelo seeming to avoid him and we'd be left with DB's so/so performances against Plant and Andrade and none of this PR of him being a fearsome carnivore waiting to dine on his frightened and quivering peers.

In a strange way, Canelo is putting Benavides over big here.

It's not the high profile spectacle it was in the old world for sure. But if it's on its last legs this is the slowest death scene of all time lol. I said elsewhere in the forum that they need to stop putting these fights that don't sell enough on ppv. Some of these guys need to be on bigger fighters' undercards. There needs to be more free shows, but make it a big deal, not a throwaway date on network TV in a random time slot but real events on network tv with big names. Hell why not do cards of tune up fight level matchups but have several quality fighters there to showcase them? Boxing just needs new ideas for a new era. But it's always going to be star driven, that's just the world we live in.

You almost answered your own question. In his 64 fight career. He's 33 but with 64 fights, he couldn't logically have too many fights left. He debuted nearly 20 years ago without ever stepping away from the game. Also the Saudi involvement is a relatively new phenomenon in the sport, so it wasn't an option before. Maybe that's why.

Not really. Why didn't he do that with Charlo or Mungia?

Canelo literally said the reason he fought Charlo was because he disrespected him. Not fighting someone because their dad talks ****? hahaha.

So you are even more clueless about boxing than I originally though. lol

If he's stripped of the belts because he's ducking Benavidez, will and should tarnish his legacy. If he doesn't want that fight, then he should relinquish the belts and let David fight the contender for the vacancy. It's not rocket science.

I mean, he beat the dog **** out of both Plant and Andrade, but okay...

Maybe you know better than Canelo.
