While this isn’t the best PPV card by any stretch of the mind I do think there’s some undercard fights worth paying attention to. Here’s some:

    1. Bek Nurmanganbet (11-0) vs Joshua Conley (17-6-1), Bek is a rising Khazak star SMW dude hits hard has hell Koing a LHW prospect in his last fight, while Conley has fought some solid guys at 160 like Dereveyanchenko, and Shane Mosley jr, while also getting TKOd by Carlos Adames at 154. It’s a little unfortunate he’s gotta be brought up to 168 to feed Big Body Bek but this is still a step up for him. I’m excited to see another Ko from my boy Bek.

    2. Stephen Fulton (21-1) vs Carlos Castro (30-2), Fulton comes back making his return at FW first time since sept 2018 vs A very game fighter in Castro. Fulton coming back after a beating by Inoue up a weight class is a question mark but I believe it’s against the right fighter to make a statement in that division.

    3. Rolly Romero (15-2) vs Manuel Jaimes (16-1-1), this should be a fun one we all know Rolly is one of the worst champions in recent history but he’s got a bit of a fanbase and ranked 8th in the WBA so PBC decided to give him a bounce back fight. Jaimes best opponent was Johnathan Romero a C level fighter so I don’t expect him to do much unless Rolly is totally cooked from that beating he got from Cruz.

    4. Caleb Plant (22-2) vs Trevor Mccumby (28-0), For some reason the WBA wants to get an immediate contender right after Berlanga gets vaporized by setting up an Interim title fight between these guys. I like Plant a lot he’s an excellent fighter but he does gas and outside of the Dirrell fight doesn’t really have KO power. He also hasn’t fought since that war with Benavidez in march 2023 but he’s used to fighting once a year at this point. Mccumby is a bit of a mystery he hasn’t fought anyone but he does possess good power and solid fundamentals that unfortunately won’t be enough to overcome Caleb.

Not gonna mention the Lara v Garcia fight I think it’s a disgrace of a title defense by Lara but nothing new from him honestly.

I think it lived up to the hype especially the Bek, Plant and Lara fights.

You shouldn't have mentioned the Romero-Jaim-ass match either, it was absolutely appalling.

McCumby stole the show with a fair referee he may have stopped Plant.

For some reason I thought Rolly would KO the dude but I’m fully convinced he’s the worst fighter to ever win a belt at 140.
