Sounds like he is either a very good mate/relative of Smith, bet heavily on Smith, annoyed that he fell for the Eh Day hype again or simply needs to chill out in general life. Never liked The Smiths, Bellew or Fowler myself and there are many in our city/country that feel the same way and others who feel the same way about boxers I like. No point having a meltdown about it and I would have ate humble pie if Smith proved me wrong on Sunday and I did give him credit for lasting the distance. That is sport for you where banter will be out in force big time - if it annoys him there is a huge internet world out there where he can go to find more suitable pages to browse.
Probably bashed his laptop to pieces now and off to Currys to purchase another before responding. Mr Angry is seething with rage - meltdown of the year. Hope he calms down and enjoys his xmas.
One final observation I have on Smith's showing vs Canelo:- Did he really, REALLY think that picking "Wages Day" by Deacon Blue was gonna be a good idea as ring walk song? Pay Day indeed!
"i have forgotten more than you know about boxing" Then predicts john ryder to give canelo fits . These forum "experts" are comedy gold.
I though Liam Smith gave a better account of himself and give Canelo a better fight to be honest. Was better to watch anyway.
It's because many British fighters just don't have real boxing intelligence. For some reason we lack the ability to adapt if for some crazy reason the original fight plan doesn't work. Yes Frampton did well in the firstfight but in the LSC rematch when Leo decided to use his jab There was no response at all. It's like that possibility was never considered. That's why i rate Taylor above everybody he can fight anyway you want and can adjust to the opponent.
I think Callum Smith was a worthy world champ albeit in a very weak division. I said before the fight several times that he was weight drained, and therefore wouldn’t have had the same punch power or durability. That’s on him and his trainer. Imo we are one of the worst in the world for staying at the weight too long. There’s too much boiling down for too long to try and gain an advantage to compensate for a lack of technical ability.
I think its brave to stand in front of canelo getting smacked for 36 mins and not quitting personally.
He could have legitimately quit with the injury. I remember Price quitting with the same injury against Kuzmin. Credit to Callum for hanging in there.
Scared is definitely the right way to describe Callum's performance. Canelo's power was intimidating him Callum made no impact with his punches on Canelo at all
