A boreathon?? Behave. It was a fight of quality BOXING by two elite stars of the sport. It doesn't have to be 2 guys standing in front of each other slugging it out to be an exciting fight. It wasn't one of the best fights I've ever saw but it was entertaining and the type of fight you couldn't take your eyes off. Certainly not a 'boreathon' anyway. Not by a long stretch.

Does not really affect me as I have never missed a fight I wanted to watch, never bought a PPV and never will.

Agree that only the diehard boxing fans will watch this at 4am.

 

There was a channel doing this called err Boxnation - now it only shows pish

 

The man most happy about this development is one Eh Day Hearn - I tell ya Dave Allen might even get a PPV now the floodgates of boxing mugths has opened.

 

The amount of football casuals on twitter defending his every word is astonishing. Literally 7/10 people trolling Wilder and Fury have UK football logos etc as their avatar.

 

Most PPV boxing fans are really thick believing Eh Day when he says his shyte don't smell, taking serious the pre-rehearsed acting (eg Toe v Bellend), wonder why most PPV fights end up dross then next day, they wonder why the ring announcer fails to shout - 'and the new .....' when more PPV fights are simply non title bread and butter fight.

I've been a fan of boxing for more than 20 years, used to stay up to 4 or 5 in the morning watching the big fights in the US, I had a tape collection of hundreds of classic fights I bought from a tape trader before the days of the internet and Youtube.

A casual fan I ain't.

 

I agree. But in order for a fight to be entertaining one or both fighters have to try and take the win rather than attempt to steal a decision by taking zero risks, throwing single punches most of the fight and fighting at a pedestrian pace.

We'll have to agree to disagree, anyway hope you enjoy the rematch on PPV.
