Canelo v Khan weigh in

You go find me a picture of Khan at any weigh in , when he's looked like that.

Meanwhile i will get a picture of Canelo's last 5 weigh ins, where he looks exactly as he did yesterday.

People saying how big Khan is tonight are the same type of people who said how big McGregor was against Diaz.

 

khan could win if he fought a disciplined 12 round stick and move fight but he doesn't have the mentality. canelo will catch khan while he's throwing punches and it'll be over

 

Even if khan did have the right mentality he doesnt have the skills. It works for mayweather because he mostly throws single shots. Has good footwork. Has good defence. Has a good boxing brain. Has good single shot power. Mixes it up well and believe it or not has good power.

In this fight i m struggling to see how khan has any of these. Khan has incredible speed when throwing an accumulation of shots but his one punch speed isnt nearly as great. Doesnt have a good boxing brain. Doesnt have good footwork. Doesnt have good power. Doesnt have either good footwork or defence.

The problems start with khan though when you realise the speeds all in the accumulation of shots. Khans team and himself have only themselves to blame for how his career will turn out. The only way it would have worked was if khan was a big drainer on the scales. And he had the size weight and strength advantage over his opponents. He would have overwhelmed them with the speed and accumulation of shots.

Tbf its the road canelo,s went down draining on the scales because without the advantages hes not elite level material himself.

mayweather has good power but khan doesn't?? khan has fast feet. i know he squares up when he throws his fifty punch combination but if virgil has drilled him to throw three shots and get out it might be interesting. canelo has to be stationary to punch so if khan keeps moving canelo might get frustrated after 5 or 6 rounds.
it sounds like i give khan a chance but i think he has to fight the perfect fight and not lose concentration for a second

 

Theres more chance of Terrence Fibbs and Solaris meeting for a fight then there is of Khan beating Alvarez

 

Thats one thing i think people seriously underestimate mayweather with the lack of power. His style wouldnt work if he didnt have respectable power. The best indicator is looking at the opponents when they re fighting him. Pretty much all of them with a few exceptions have been stopped in their tracks by it. Theres a very good reason they become reluctant to exchange with him.

Then compare it to khans they just plough on against him. Collazo was fighting with his hands completely down at one point.

Wont need to wait too long to find out anyway mate. Hope its a good fight.

Thats the thing with boxing mate its not always easy to predict. You could well log on tomorrow to be the man that knows exactly what hes talking about and i can be the idiot or vice versa.

Theres always an element of the unknown otherwise we d all be rich from the bookmakers. Enjoy the fight lad if your staying up for it.
