Lol calm down guys. I realise the reaction is normal right after a blow out fight like last night.
Keep in mind though, although Lemiux dehydrated to a higher weight but the dimension of their bodies are similar, Lemiux might be the bigger puncher, I think Canelo is the stronger fighter with better skill and chin.
Also Lemieux is a come forward fighter, that somehow could play into a counter punching Canelo's game.
I know there are no ones on Canelo's resume that suggest how he will perform with a middleweight, but the kid is young and he is getting more experience and sturdier by the years.
I am in the minority and pick canelo by decision.

His best win is Lara. He hasn't beaten any top 160 fighters but he is capable of doing so IMO.
Cotto has never fought at 160 but I wouldn't be surprised if he was able to outbox Lem and win a decision.

I would have to give Canelo the edge. At 160 Canelo will be stronger than he is at 155. Lemiuex is open for counters and Canelo definitely is a good counterpuncher with clever defensive skills. Lemiuex can definitely hurt him and win. But the edge to Canelo.

It depends if its at 160 and how Lemieux comes into the fight. Canelo didn't even seem to hurt Cotto, a much smaller man so I figure Lemieux could take his punches better. There's a lot of what-if's in this fight but I'd probably lean slightly towards Lemieux

He lost to Lara though, I've never seen a round by round scorecard that's given that fight to Canelo. He clearly lost.

I think Lemiuex would give Canelo more trouble than Golovkin would. DL I think was the best guy Golovkin fought. I said at the time that DL was very capable of beating Golovkin, but I thought he fought the wrong fight. DL could knockout Canelo, and he could knock out Golovkin. I'd slightly favor Canelo but it's a very dangerous fight for anybody at MW. If DL fought Golovkin again, he could knockout Golovkin. GG's fought a lot of bums and his resume doesn't compare to Canelo's, but Canelo's never fought someone like Lemiuex.

It just seems like everyone is doing whatever they can to try to put in roadblocks to not force Golovkin to fight Canelo in September. It will be interesting to see what the HBO guys say next week during Golovkin Jacobs, if Lampley and Max push for Triple G to fight Canelo next or not. For a fight that everyone wanted so badly last year, it's amazing how protected Golovkin is becoming. I think Lemiuex should get a crack at Saunders while Canelo and Golovkn fight in September. I would favor Lemiuex to beat Saunders if it happened next, probably could knock him out. But I have a suspiction that HBO is somehow going to hold their nose and do everything to stop Canelo and Golovkin from fighting in September, but we will see. . .

    Naw he beat Lara.

    Not that close either.

Professional boxing isn't scored like the amateurs.

The weight and quality of the punch counts.
