So,despite all the hype on BJS on other threads when people come down to clicking the button 80% go canelo lol
I can see Saunders giving a very good performance and out boxing Canelo in large parts. If he really wants to win though there’ll be some torrid moments where he has to trade or at least wait for Canelo to stop and then bite down and dig in himself because nobody can hit and move for 36mins. He would get robbed on the cards and I just can’t help but remember some journeyman about 5 years ago nearly knocked Saunders out. He had him on baby horse legs. That doesn’t bode well because he’ll probably be caught more than ever on Saturday. I’d like to see Saunders do it just to ruin Canelo’s legacy a bit. If I had to put my house on it I’d say Canelo round 9-12.
He may be bigger but I'm not sure he's stronger. Tbh I think that's the worst thing he could do Mark, plant his feet and trade. Bjs defence in the shorter ranges ain't the best. Add onto that, the southpaw disadvantage, and I reckon Canelo will have him out of there in no time.
Canelo has fought the very best, won multiple titles in different weight classes. He's active and whilst other fighters in the P4P list sit on their hands and refuse to take on each other, Canelo has been chinning everyone. Yes he has things in his favour, the champs often do, especially when they bring a lot of money to the table. However, there's not a single weakness in his game. He is the most well rounded p4p fighter in the world. He's actually quite likeable and doesn't really trash talk either, he lets his boxing do the talking. Whereas Saunders has wasted his talent. Conducted himself terribly. He is a clever fighter, but his style doesn't age well. He doesn't carry the power to deter someone like Canelo who will happily parry shots and take them on the gloves and arms all day. Imo, Saunders is going to be blowing a gasket by round 6. Canelo will still be in 3rd gear, walking Saunders down. I'm going 118-110 scorecards. No need for them to be rigged.
I don`t think Canelo is good on the inside v southpaws Jacobs had more success v Canelo when he turned southpaw.
He`ll need to plant his feet to make that strength tell, that crap about tyhe ring size makes me tyhink he`s going to try and pot shot like he did v Lem, if that`s the case his strength will count for nothing.
I think it will be a bit of both to be honest, and that can make the opponent become desperate if successful.
