Bro, please, just stop. I know you're a Brit, but none of the English fighters that Canelo beat would ever beat him in whether in England or any English territory.

I see him beating Rocky From Stocky even without the rehydration clause

What did you think of the fight? How would you rate Canelo's performance? Did Ryder do as well as you thought he would do? Were you surprised how much punishment Canelo dished out? The stadium was electric, it was fun to watch. And although Ryder was hurt badly, he deserves credit for hanging in there, surviving the onslaught and being as competitive as he was. Many are citing Ryder's ability to land some clean shots on Canelo to say Canelo's defense has slipped, do you think that's more of a product of Canelo slowing down or was it more of just how Canelo decided to fight? I think it was a crowd pleasing fight because Canelo was fighting someone who wasn't trying to jab him to death for a change and out work him, Ryder was keen to try and time Canelo and load up on big clean shots which made for a fun action packed fight.

But let's be honest all of that list were major underdogs. There was a brief window where BJS at MW had a realistic shot against Clen, pretty much when his camps didn't resemble a weight watchers fat farm.

I enjoyed it. Canelo was a beast for 6 rounds, then coasted for a while, then hit a wall and ran out of gas in round 10, won round eleven , then was beat and clearly lost round twelve. He still seems to lose steam late, but do alot of damage early. Loved the stadium. I was impressed with how much punishment he put on a guy that just beat Jacobs. Ryder has heart, and Canelo still has late fight stamina problems. Great show though.

Great post bro. People are acting like Ryder was controlling parts of the fight when it was clearly Canelo trying to get Ryder to open up to get a KO

To Ryder's credit he survived and didn't get KO.

Half that list is solid, good respectable wins. The 2 Smiths, one was a so called beast at the time Canelo beat him, and the other still very solid, are wins that have aged well. BJS is a good win because people were questioning Canelo's ability to catch so called slick fighter and I guess you can call BJS that, or just call BS.

Ryder is a very solid win too. There's a reason most of Canelo's opponents not named GGG choose to move & box though. Ryder tried to be there close by and took the worst beating Canelo has ever dished out to anyone. Chin, heart, & resolve noted & most importantly he finished the fight sustaining verticality. The Brits tried to throw someone at Canelo that looked kind of like him, was kind of build like him but I guess gingers are tougher across the pond then they are in the UK. :ggg What else do ya'll got? Buatsi, and a few others lurk around 175 I know. :chuck:

Ryder had his moments, he landed some clean shots occasionally, so there was some entertaining back and forth. But Canelo was in full control throughout. When Ryder was about to get stopped after the first KD, I sort of didn't want to see it end right there because it was so fun to watch and because I thought Canelo needed the extra rounds. The extra rounds were important for Canelo I think because he was able to start testing the left hook in the late rounds, like in the 11th. Early on he didn't want to test the left hook and full force because there was still a long way to go. But as the end drew near, he started throwing the left hand more. Canelo's right hand seems to be stronger than ever, after the fight apparently his right hand swelled up which isn't a surprise given how much damage he inflicted on Ryder. It was an amazing night of boxing that really gave boxing a much needed boost. Plant vs Benavidez and Tank vs Ryan was fun, but they were no comparison to that scene in Guadalajara.
