Provodnikov. When you can't outdraw Bradley on TV, it says something about the fighter(Canelo) and the network that is giving the event. Bradley got 1.4 million on HBO against a Friday night fights guy and Canelo got 1.1 against a guy that had fought on Showtime before. Maybe HBO is laughing.

HBO is laughing their ass off. They know damn well that it's only a matter of time before GBP has to come crawling back. Arum recently stated that the cable and satellite companies have assured him that only a Mayweather fight would take precedence over Bradley/Marquez. If Arum is being upfront here, that means if Mayweather decides not to fight in September, Alvarez will once again be relegated to second tier status on a day where he believes he should be the main attraction. How long do you think Alvarez will put up with that?

Schaeffer needs to realize that GBP is going to be in some trouble if they can't mend fences with HBO.

HBO also has 8-9 million more subscribers than showtime.

That doesn't mean anything. It's just because HBO has more subscribers. if canelo was on HBO, that fight would have had more than 1.6 million views easy
Canelo actually has the showtime record for views

That's the point. HBO has way more subcribers. More subscribers equals more revenue. More revenue equals a bigger budget. A bigger budget equals more money in the fighter's pocket. GBP fighters are losing money by fighting on a network with a smaller budget. It also doesn't help that they have less negotiating leverage now that only one network is bidding for their services.

HBO 10x >Showtime. They at least try to promote their fights... ohh, and come fight night, their show is very superior, imo.

True, but I guess the plan is for showtime to steal subscribers from HBO over the next few years. Plus gbp can put fights on CBS now like Leo Santa Cruz's last fight

Steal subscribers based on boxing alone? I doubt they can. I wonder how many of the total subscribers HBO has, have HBO because of boxing. I know I don't have HBO just because of boxing. HBO is more superior to Showtime in every other way, not just boxing.

This, showtime is trying to add and bring subscribers over. They have a long term plan, keep putting on good shows and people will subscribe.
