IN all fairness, they already knew he had won, both corners were given the official scores inbetween rounds 4 and 8, after round up he was way up on all 3 cards and Trout needed a knockout to win.... This semi open/open scoring is **** I reckon, Canelo coasted teh last couple of rounds coz he new he could afford to.
Yet interestingly it's one of the few sports where the scores are typically not known until the competition is finished.
They should keep it that way. That was a close hard fought fight, much closer than the judges had it. If Canelo didn't know what the scores were going into the 9th, he woulda fought his heart out, would made for a better spectacle
Perhaps. He may also have burnt himself out, or taken a risk which may have lost him the fight. Who knows. I'm not saying there should be open scorecards, I'm not really sure where I stand with it. I felt Canelo won, but boxing scoring is a mess.
I think Trout is a beter fighter and on neutral ground I would pick him to win a rematch. The knock down and Canelo landing the heavier punches just had him win the fight on my scorecard by a 1 or 2rds.... very close fight The 118 - 109 card is worth investigation by his peers
Derka much? lol.. it ruins the final round, so you end up with a great fight with the last round putting you to sleep because one guy knows he has won and just gets on his bike. Open scorecards are crap, its as simple as that, engage that brain of yours and have a think about it. :good
You really are a ****en dunce TC, sit in the corner like a good girl. :nono There's 2 fighters in in the ring, and one might be on his bike, but the other is out to kill him because he knows he's losing. It goes both ways ding dong. atsch Again, you're the stupidest **** here, yet you're talking about brains. You don't even have one. :deal The jury is out on open scoring and plenty experts swing both ways. You do realise your opinion means **** about most things.
