The fight with Mugabi was a brutal affair that took its toll on Marvelous unfortunately.

 

This. It was the hardest fight of Marvins career imo. People forget that mugabi was a different animal the night he fought Hagler, that fight took a lot out of both. It wasn’t until the end that Marvin comeout on top, he was taking hard fast counters off the beast whenever he threw

 

First Canelo will never lose to Leonard at 160 second Hagler losing to Leonard you got the answer.

 

The only reason Leonard fought Hagler was he knew father time had caught up to him. Canelo is a modern Leonard, takes advantage of anything he can and waits for the perfect time to fight people

 

I think you're right about Mugabi being Hagler's toughest fight, he took far more bombs than he did with Vito in his two fights with him and the Hearns fight was over in about 8 minutes. I can't recall any other fight where Hagler's face was as swelled up as this one

Hagler slipped after having a war with a jr middleweight but he would be too much for prime super middleweight Canelo to even be competitive.
