Come on I know Dan Ambrose likes to describe him as a Lightheavy but I thought we were a little smarter than that on here lol?
Canelo is one of the more egregious rehydraters, maybe not quite at Chavez Jr levels, but not far off either, although I believe he's a more skilled fighter. He made fellow JMW 'Beefy' Smith look slight by comparison. However, the heaviest I think I've seen reported for Canelos fight weight is 174 so when you say 'fact' you actually mean 'speculation'. Which is not to say that it aint true - I could easily believe ginger comes to the ring close to 180 based on the eye test but I've not seen any proof of this, and neither have you.
Canelo would totally dominate Stevenson in the chicken stakes. Nobody hands over his belt with such speed and style as El Pollo. I hear that he even gives it a spit n polish before scuttling over with the strap.
First I don't even know if this fight will ever happen. ( but I would love to see a fight like this with 2 power punchers). Canelo may have more skills but Adonis left hand would put him on the ground anytime. I would go with Adonis as he has a much longer reach, at 77 inches compared to 70 inches for Canelo.
