His resume is overrated. He has been fortunate at least 3 times with the judges and a lot of his scalps are nothing to write home about. Don't be fooled into thinking that Calum Smith, Saunders, etc were anything out of the ordinary. Canelo's skills are also overhyped. Inoue for example is a far more skilled boxer. Better power P4P, better cardio, etc. He's only so popular because he has the love of Mexico and it is a pretty weak era in terms of talent.
Who would canelo have to fight to be "legit"? I will argue tho that the 2nd GGG fight was close but was a win for Canelo.
He's full blown legit but there isn't really anyone else that is on that level with any kind of resume for him to further enhance his status in the eyes of the doubters. At this rate he could end up retiring having had 70 fights across 5 weight classes without fighting a single other elite HOF fighter in their prime
Thats the thing... its not his fault. Saunders and smith are guys he must fight... they were champions at 168. I find it hard to discredit someone who had to beat two undefeated champions. If he beats plant and becomes the undisputed and lineal champ at 168, then he'll have to be legit...
Clenelo will not beat prime shape Ottke in Germany because cards. All clen and only natural juice and only natural beef meat in the world might not help him KO Ottke and cards : he had then get his own medicine used on him.
Based on my knowledge of the game and the very best of Canelo and all these guys this is my verdict above
What is wrong idiot? Guy's like SRL Herans Duran Trianda DLH are no good at 168? Proof me wrong dumbass
DLH has never even fought at 168. Look brainiac, when you make a statement, the onus isn't on other to 'prove you wrong', especially when what you said is nothing more than your opinion. You're embarrassing.
[/QUOTE] That's my point dumbass Canelo is just to big for most of the fighter's listed, at 154 Canelo was not prime
At 168 he doesn't beat Calzaghe or Ward. Toney ran hot and cold so I am not sure about this matchup. If JT gets through a good camp then he beats Canelo too.
Are you stupid? Then you match the 154 version w/ the others at 154 and etc... Good grief...you are too dumb to need this explained...
