We live in an era w/ 4-5 belts per division. Multiple division champ is NOT the accomplishment it used to be. Especially when one can easily pick the worst champ to fight.

You aren't explaining ANYTHING to me. Guess what, I can already add 1 to 4 and get 5 as well. Belts are only as good as the holder. What good is Jack's belt then? Ooh...the coveted title # 5 in s era where Broner is himself a 4 division champ, Robert Guerrero is 4 division champ.... Both of them must be locks for the HOF i suppose.

Lots of fighters do that. Inoue. Usyk. Bam Rodriguez. Teo just beat Taylor. What is Canelo doing that’s so different from everyone else? Oh yea, he puts stipulations in his fights. Not many others are doing that.

Nobody does that but Canelo fans. You guys hype up and put down the fighter based on whether he’s an opponent or potential opponent for Canelo. You guys hyped up Plant, Fielding, Smith, etc. We all said they weren’t great fighters to begin with.

 

Don’t cry then when people don’t like fighters who need advantages. Noticed you steered clear of the point with Inoue, Usyk and Bam.

 

I'm not for that at all but catchweights and rehydration clauses have been around for ever and some people seem to pick and choose who they're going to criticize over that.

 

The point about Inoue, Usyk and Bam, they're good fighters who are challenging themselves just like Canelo but for some reason they get credit from people like you who constantly whine about Canelo.

No. You asked me to name just one fighter who was taking on challenges like Canelo. I gave you several since you appear to want to make it seem like Canelo is the only guy moving up weight classes taking straps. He’s not. So why act like it? Just because you pay attention to only one guy doesn’t mean we all do. Asking that question is really silly, especially on a board designed for strictly boxing fans. They get credit because they aren’t abusing the system to gain advantages. Tank gets heat all the time for it too. So stop pretending everyone just jumps on Canelo.

Why so sensitive about Canelo? I'm a big Canelo fan but you're clearly more vested in him than I am.

 

Please, These types of clauses have been around for a long time it's usually hypocritical fans like you that make an issue of it when it's a fighter you don't like..

As far as I'm concerned if both combatants agree to any terms then there should not be any whining after that. And most fighters don't, it's usually their fans that do the crying for them.
