Canelo Vs. Beterbiev right now; LHW

Canelo could do well early, we all know Beterbiev starts slow. Canelo has great defense and great punch selection but lacks power at 175. Beterbiev is too big a challenge for Canelo, even at this point.

 

I’ve never been accused of being a rabid Canelo fan but I would not want to see this fight. Both guys are in different divisions and have other options at their natural weight. Canelo isn’t a big framed guy, he’s got lots of muscle and didn’t look small at 175 but he’s not a LH fighter. Bivol proved that.

Beterbiev should also stay at 175, I hope. He’s not a huge guy but is super powerful and has a violent style. More fun to see him fight guys his own size. Same with Canelo.

 

Beterbiev KO. Easy one.

 

Let us know when he fights nobody.

 

If he baits Beterbiev by taking his jabs like he did against Kovalev, I could see him scoring a spectacular late round bobblehead stoppage like he did to Kovalev.

On the flip side, Beterbiev will be looking for revenge for Russia, that will be a serious incentive, especially now that they are fighting a war against the Ukrainians.

For this reason I choose Beterbiev

It would be almost like Canelo was fighting a natural light heavyweight version of Golovkin, minus the titanium chin, plus AB is more aggressive. AB would most likely pummel and stop Canelo by 8th or 9th taking away Canelo's chances of yet another robbery victory that he can add to his resume to claim greatness, at the expense of other boxers legacy's.

This would be brutal. Canelo always ends up on ropes against agressive fighters and you just dont wanna go there against BTR.
