Canelo vs Beterbiev

Canelo didn’t lose the second fight to Golovkin. It was close but imo Canelo won that fight in the last round. Canelo is, as you say, talented and is capable of beating Beterbiev on skill and boxing ability. Think what you like of Canelo, and I get that there are contentious issues surrounding his career, he is one capable fighter and if he does step up to face Beterbiev, he deserves a lot of credit. It is a dangerous fight.

 

Closer fight than Bivol vs Canelo but I still went with Beterbiev.


I just feel the two elite CW would be a step to far for Caenlo (who I thought lost both GGG fights and against Lara).

 

If the fight were to take place, Beterbiev will be 37/38 years old. Canelo all day for me.

 

beterbiev and ggg arent even similar fighting styles beterbiev is a good inside fighter.

and the second fight probably half the people watching felt ggg won.

 

I had the first fight 9-3 Golovkin, the second a draw. Golovkin changed things up from the first fight, the draw had got into his head, but he reverted back to what he does best and came back so strongly in the second half of the fight that he deserved a draw, basically in neither fight did Alvarez do enough to dethrone a champion. What we're seeing now is an athlete in the prime of his career with the ridiculous advantage of years of performance enhancing drugs cycles changing the way his body works way being the last date of consumption. So no matter what Alvarez goes on to do, and he's done some brilliant things, for me that will ruin it. I know lots are on it but he has done it so brashly for years, so ridiculously obvious and even when he got busted it didn't seem like it was really an issue to him or anyone, bang out wrong.
