Canelo vs Bivol - Boxer vs Puncher

Canelo can also box, defensively & offensively, hes not just a puncher, hes more of a boxer puncher that’s very good at setting up the knockout. Canelo beats bivol

 

I think Canelo is a boxer-puncher, but I am picking Bivol anyway. Bigger, better defense.

 

Canelo = Julian Jackson

Bivol = Terry Norris

 

They are both boxer-punchers.

Canelo is more well rounded with better upper body defence and counterpunching skills. He may have more power in his hooks.

Bivol has much better feet and movement, straight punches and a great jab.

The closest guy to Bivol Canelo has fought is GGG even though Golovkin is more focused on landing bombs than Bivol is. I think Bivol's size and stamina are going to be a major problem for Canelo. Ginger is going to have to find a way to slow Bivol down or I think he will lose.

I'm picking Bivol on points in a close fight.

That said, he may not get the judge's decision.

 

Canelo is by far the better boxer and puncher. This won’t be close.

 

Bivol may have good timing, combination, movement and range management but he is also known for his lack of power on his fists.

He also fades in the second halves of his fights due to the hight-rate combination fighting in first halves.

Thus, Canelo won't be affected by Bivol's weak combinations and will knock him out in the second half of the fight when Bivol fades.

Reynoso already started talking about the plans about Canelo's 3rd fight in 2022. He is already looking past Bivol and Golovkin fights. Reynoso handpicks all of Canelo's opponents and he is a very clever guy, he knows the capabilities of his fighter, and other boxers also.
