Good but not great fight. It will go the distance and the general consensus is that it was basically an even fight with about 3-4 rounds that could be scored either way. All three of the judges will give these rounds to Canelo.
One thing is for sure, Bivol definitely has the punch variety, speed and engine to give canelo a tough fight for 12 rounds.
you knew very well what you were writing when you didnt add "power" to the list. Bivol will not win to canelo if he cannot keep him honest. That's the whole question in this fight. If bivol can, bivol will win, if not, he wont.
Bivol doesn't have any of those you mentioned. He just does straight 1-2s and that's all. I never saw him throwing uppercuts or left hooks. He also has a terrible gas tank. He was barely able to finish Richards fight.
Canelo by decision. Or even stopping Bivol in the last couple of rounds. Canelo s right hands and left hooks do the job and gradually wear him down.
Bivol doesn't have enough tools in his arsenal to really trouble Canelo. He's one dimensional, robotic eastern European style, doesn't have enough power to scare Canelo in any way (hasn't knocked out an opponent in 4 years and he's faced mediocre competition, no one near Canelo's level). He has lulls in fights and is too inactive for a lot of rounds, is vulnerable to body shots, plus he doesn't throw body shots himself and he doesn't even have a great jab like GGG did, I just don't see how Canelo is gonna lose this. It would take a miracle and a slip up from Canelo for Bivol to have any chance and even then he can only win on points and we know if it comes to that, the judges will always side with Canelo in a close fight no matter what. Bivol would have to show something he hasn't shown in his previous fights, he would have to have an impeccable performance and I just don't see that happening unfortunately.
