I believe this is going to be a great fight, you guys are saying the same things people were saying before Pacquiao fought Hoya.

So suddenly all of you forgot that Bud has longer reach and he is taller than Canelo ?

He is more skilled and it's not like Bud is small for Canelo.

Canelo batters him. I can’t believe some people think Crawford could win this fight.

Fair play to Crawford for getting the bag, I'm sure he will be well compensated for the KO loss he would receive. I wonder if Crawford is still fighting Madrimov in the meantime; I wouldn't bet against Madrimov spoiling the party.

Thats not how it works, lol. Bud is a 154 fighter max, above that and i think he becomes an extremely mediocre fighter. Should be easy work for canelo though.

Based on what ? We don't even know what power or movement he will have at that weight. His natural weight is very big.

Crawford is taller than Canelo, has longer reach, is more skilled, and has said he walks around as a LHW or cruiser for years now. Bud's never been visibly hurt except maybe against Kava, and he does walk through shots to land his own so we know his chin is solid. Canelo doesn't have the stoppage power anymore, his power is over-rated, it's thudding but he hasn't stopped anybody since Plant and Plant is a predictable hype-job. Canelo just plods along with concrete shoes not moving his head off the centre line asking his opponents to just come into his range so he can wing off big haymakers at them. Bud's capable on the back-foot and is better at setting traps and countering than Canelo is, if Canelo just plods along with his wide, telegraphed shots like he usually does, then Bud keeps him on the end of his jab and counters him. Bud is one of the most insanely competitive people in the sport, his friends, family, and gym-mates all attest to the fact that he can't stomach losing in the slightest and turns everything into a competition so he can compete more. He's not just gonna lie down and let the Ginger hit him. Canelo should be fighting Bennie, while Bud should be going after undisputed at 154 and Janibek would be a more meaningful win anyways.

Don't get me wrong, I want this fight.

But for Canelo it's such a lose lose.

He most likely gets schooled, on the off chance he lands a KO shot he gets zero credit from anyone.

Mental fight for him to take.

Based on him looking filled out at 147. Anything above that will just lead to him looking pudgy, just like how charlo did.
