I was criticising Canelo mate, it’s certainly no slight on Crawford.

It’s just another case of Canelo picking off smaller guys instead of fighting the guy we all know he should be fighting.

Bud has to go up 3 weight classes FFS. It’s a joke.

benavidez is the fight. no other fight can substitute at 168. thats if you want to determine who the best fighter at 168 is today. doesnt matter if hes fighting at 175 next, hes made it clear he would come back down for canelo, and he has beaten the fighters to prove he deserves the challenge.

Bud already declared his intentions to move up to 154 in his next fight.

    https://www.cbssports.com/boxing/ne...t-for-debut-at-154-pounds-vs-israil-madrimov/

So he wouldn't be moving up 3 weight classes to fight Canelo, he's already at 154 for all intents and purposes.

Look at this maricon trying to justify this trash. Since youre so happy with Canelo getting paid why don't your bum cuck ass ask him for an handout? Maybe he gives you a couple of bucks for all the time you spend Nutthugging his ginger balls and then maybe you can move out of your car and move to a tent. Then again you probably spend all the money on the sauce.

I get it from a financial perspective but it leaves a sour taste in my mouth knowing there are very worthy opponents in their division wanting to fight them. (Ennis, David)

I can't do it. Canelo is on video saying Crawford is too small that he wouldn't fight him, now that his PPVS are not doing as good as they once were and are not meeting expectations, now hes considering fighting the former Undisputed 147 pound champion dragging him up 3 weight divisions in the process, a fight no one cares about, instead of just fighting the guy every body wants to see him fight in Benavidez is just crazy to me. $200 million to fight DB? Why the high price?

DB been the mandatory for years now, he could of stayed at 168 and enforced his mandatory status, but Canelo demanding $200 million for a mandatory fight just shows that he thinks DB is a dangerous opponent, he isn't going to make $200 mill fighting Crawford that's for sure, I doubt he would even demand that type of money for Bud.

Now these are all speculations but if Canelo does choose to fight Crawford, then the backlash he receives from fans in the real world and on ESB will be justified imo.

I don't need a handout, I have sufficient for my needs.

When Canelo first came into the scene I was not a fan, especially after the Larry Mosley and Jose Cotto fights.

After he fought Trout I started having a change of heart. When he fought Lara I got on the bandwagon and have never came down.

Spin it which ever way you want but Canelo has put in more work than most top fighters today, possibly most top fighters in the last 30 years.

Not really. He hasn't fought at 154 yet, but he's essentailly at that weight already. He's made it pretty clear after he beat Spence that he has no intentions on fighting at 147 any longer. He hasn't been Undisputed at 147 since November of last year, he was stripped of the IBF belt in November. That was 6 months ago. That's a pretty good indication he's no longer fighting in that weight class.

It’s got to be a catch weight surely, I just hope Crawford gets a tune up at the weight, he’s got a fight at super welterweight if he gets one at middleweight then we know it’s on, I just can’t see Canelo being sound enough to take a catch weight.

Yes but until he wins against a couple of very good guys at 154 he is only proven up to 147.

    Canelo fights at 168.

    It's an awfully big difference.

DB has not been the mandatory for years. He was the mandatory for 11 months and three weeks. If Benavidez was serious about fighting Canelo instead of trying to get famous off his name he would have waited one more week where he could activate he mandatory status. For whatever reason only He, Haymon, and Lewkowicz know they decided to leave 168 one week before he was going to have the power. Does that make sense?

Yeah I would have loved to see Canelo rearrange DB's internal organs and embarrass him, but it's not like it was a better fight than Munguia. I don't rate DB as high as some of you. He couldn't even KO Plant. Benavidez has never done anything extraordinary.

Like I said before, if Canelo wants a few easy money fights I'm all for it, he's don't a **** ton, more than the vast majority of top fighters.

What I don't agree is if the sanctioning bodies don't enforce their rules. So far he's defended the WBC, and the WBO mandatories, and now the IBF wants Scull and WBA wants Berlanga.

I think a big money fight or two between mandatories is fine.

DB became the interim Champion of the WBC when he fought Lemiuex back in 2022, that made him the mandatory for Canelos WBC title. He's been the mando and premier challenger at that weight since then and Canelo wants $200 mill to fight his mando? "If the money is right" is what he said, why would he need such a high price tag if DB "brings nothing to the table other than 21 extra pounds on fight night". The Crawford fight doesn't make sense, this isn't a video game where different fighters in different weight classes can fight each other.

    You're a nuthugger mate.

Benavidez couldn't KO Plant. So what? Canelo took the whole fight to get Plant out of there and there is a list as long as your arm of guys that Canelo couldn't KO. And that includes the inactive 154lb Charlo, as well as guys like Matthew Hatton, Lovemore N'dou and a whole heap of cans that most of us have never heard of.

Canelo is worth $500m yet you defend him continuing to take money fights as though he needs to feed his family. It's pathetic. If he's taking money fights at this stage of his career, with his unbelievable wealth then it is time he retired.
