If he hasn’t already been training for Canelo for weeks/months knowing that this fight and the big payday was a strong possibility that’s foolishness on a huge scale.

    Canelo has done nothing wrong.

However I have a problem with ambush tactics.

If Smith is not prepared or even half decent on the night then he deserves to be battered.

How can it be an ambush when even the fans have known this has been in the works for months?

If Smith isn't ready, that's on him

Canelo was slated to fight Yildrim for the WBC (went to purse bids) and then it was claimed Canelo was in a legal dispute with DAZN and wont be fighting this year. 2 weeks ago Callum said the fight wasn't happening and they were looking into a domestic tick over fight before Christmas. No doubt Joe G is on the phone now trying to source sub 5'5 sparring partners.

Ginger nuts will have timed his Mexican beef cycle to perfection.

Despite Smith's height advantage I expect ginger nuts to have most of the other advantages.

Smith does have power but is too basic to use it at this level. He hasn't really improved under Tesco Joe.

    Ginger nuts tko rnd 10.

When was Smith last fight now over a year ago ? Not ideal preparation for the biggest fight of your life but fair play to him for stepping up. I think it will be a good fight !

Well the game plan should be pretty self explanatory, you are going to need a knock out to win.

Liam Smith has said there is no rehydration clause for Canelo v Callum. Very interesting news. He said after the deal was done, Canelo's team came back and asked for one and Callum's team said No, its not what we agreed. Team Canelo have dropped a clanger and hopefully that is one step nearer the fight being on an even playing field.

The way Alvarez used rehydration clauses and Clen usage to gain ridiculous advantages over opponents is disgusting and above all dangerous. For this reason I always want him to lose and lose brutally. He's one hell of a boxer though, that I can't deny which is why I'm still patiently waiting.

Smith couldnt stop John Ryder getting on the inside and tearing him to the body and head.

Imagine what Canelo does given those openings. That long emaciated body of Smith's is going to be cut in half.

Part of being of the A side of the draw. Canelo only doing what Tyson, SRL, Mayweather, Klitchsko etc done for years. Longevity at the top.

Smith hasnt improved under Gallagher ? Really. He has went from being a novice pro to the unbeaten ring magazine and WBA Champion Champion under him. I would say that's improvement.
