This would be a real fun fight
If Jr can make 165 healthy
If Canelo stops Chavez Jr oh man

It's like they aren't even hiding the fact that they want nothing to do with Golovkin.

I think it will be an easy fight for Canelo. He'll be even stronger at that weight, and Jr will be a zombie, but what a great way to shut Sr's mouth after giving s××× to Canelo for vacating Mexico's favourite belt

I'd be hell of surprised if this fight actually materialized. But if it did i think Chavez is just way too limited, but strong as an Ox. It would be a tough night for Canelo for sure because of the sheer physicality Chavez brings, especially if there's no rehydration clause in the contract, Chavez Jr will look huge as **** in the ring that night! Lol.. It would be big as **** for Cinco de mayo weekend though, so why not.

Canelo would look better than he has ever looked before, but can Chavez make this weight comfortably? And then, since we know Canelo is a big guy, does that mean he is going to put on MORE weight for this fight? What would that do for his fights later on down the road? So many questions.

I like the idea of Canelo vs Lemeiux at 160 a whole lot. Hopefully Canelo wins though since it would make the Golovkin fight even bigger assuming Canelo does well but that is a big if. Lem may be able to take him out and even if he doesn't, since he got his ass handed to him vs Golovkin, it could potentially make the Golovkin fight seem like a mismatch and be detrimental to fan interest.

What happened to easing into 160? Bull**** Artist.

Canelo is biting off potentially more than he can chew here, I don't care how unskilled Chavez Jr. is, he went 9 rounds eating 100's of flush shots from Fonfara, a 6'3 LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT with a decent punch, mostly uppercuts before finally going down, he walked through Andy Lee's right hook countless times with a smile on his face, he absorbed hundreds of shots to the face from Martinez, who I'd be willing to bet money on that he hits way harder than Canelo.

Canelo who couldn't KO Cotto, and went 9 rounds with Liam Smith isn't going to stop Chavez Jr. Julio just made 169 with no problem, and looked pretty good against Britsch, with 5 months notice in a potential PPV fight, he'll be able to make 165 fairly comfortably.

6'0 Super Middleweight Chavez Jr. will give 5'7 Light Middleweight lil' Canelo all he can handle and more

Please show me a link where Golovkin's team says " we didnt want to fight Canelo"
If thats the case Team GGG is genius, cuz their "bluff" worked

On the other hand, Golovkin owned Canelo by " submission" like they say in mma. Nothing and nobody can change that fact.

Even if he made 169 this is 4 extra pounds which is actually quite a bit. Especially when you have been campaigning at a higher weight and you haven't been the most dedicated guy in the world. He could very well drain himself and get stopped as a result of that. Don't underestimate how easy it is to drain yourself.

GGG most certainly did own him. Only problem is Sanchez and GGG both said they don't care about Canelo they just want to unify. It's a known fact they've been say that.
