Boxing businessman and PPV contracter Rick Gaser says this fight did not do over 1mill PPV like others are suggesting. This is the same guy who said GGG vs Lemeieux did 97k when others were saying it did 170k.. GGG haters/Canelo fans believed his numbers then, let's see of they believe his numbers now. http://i.imgur.com/AgCraZy.jpg
If I praise or criticize the numbers, will I get a cut of money? We're all in So Cal, so I will drive to Abel's or Oscars to get my pay.
Glaser says up to 840k, possible not likely. Until HBO confirms, all we can do is speculate. But I'm sure 700k to 900k is fair estimate
Rick Glaser always has lower numbers than ESPN and the rest of the mainstream media. I have no idea who's right and I really don't care (although Canelo-Khan tax statements indicate that ESPN were right), as long as people stick to one or another. Far too many times, I have seen Glaser's GGG ppv numbers compared to Canelo's ESPN numbers.
Glaser had made claims on GGG, Mayweather, Canelo, and more. At least we can say he doesn't seem to be biased.
I've never really heard of conflictting reports about PPV buys in the UK. The UK numbers seem to be consistent even if the source is different. In the US however, the numbers vary form one source to the other.. one source will say 1mill the other will say 800k and another will say 600k. God knows who's telling the truth in the US.
Ricks usually right but I think I'll take every one else's word with the 1.2 million PPVs Good numbers either way
I think that's pretty impressive considering that most people lost all interest in Jr a long time ago.
Sorry can't comment on the numbers according to ellerbe.... 600k is **** poor for the biggest media an holiday of the mexican year. Staring two of their biggest boxers.
