Clottey has given anyone not named Pacquiao hell, he's a blend of Winky Wright's defense and Ike Quarteys offense, only half as good. Still, Canelo isn't a volume puncher like Manny is, Clottey should put up a good fight. I've always had him on par with Cotto, you can never count a fighter like Clottey out. Canelo is too strong for him tho, and Clottey is getting old, but he does have experience from fighting the best.

 

...and even there, if not for his non-effort, he may have given Pacquiao hell. :conf Or not...but we never will know unless they rematch.

(which is a door upsetting Canelo might open, actually...otherwise Clottey has no possible way of making himself lucrative enough to land a 2nd Pac date, especially with his shameful performance in Dallas making it an extraordinarily difficult sell...heck, Pac vs. Algieri is an easier PPV to pitch than Pac vs. Clottey II...)

 

Clottey vs Pacman 2... Errr herr herr I just got a shiver from even thinking about that luvy duvy bromance, pittance of a fight. Apologizing and smiling at each other every 5 seconds, I'd like to see either one try that with Floyd or Chino, Floyd would welcome a hug with a check left hook like he did Ortiz while Maidana won't even touch gloves between rounds, he had poor Khan regretting such a noble gesture by trying to decapitate Khan with overhand rights.

But yea, Clottey gives you the feeling he isn't done yet, he seems to be comfortable where he's at, has that style that can conserve a fighter very well. I know he's got a stoppage recently and dropped Mundine, but the opposition was more like target practice. I'd very much like to see Clottey vs Angulo, Trout, Lara, Lee, Vera, Rosado, Charlo Bros, especially Kirkland, a nice scrap that could be.

I have no problem with Canelo taking an easy fight. He's fought Trout PBF and Lara in a row so on second thought I'm not against the fight.

 

No way in hell is Clottey getting knocked out so this will def go the distance , We all know Canelo is coming off a loss so I guess he wanted an easy fight and he deserves one to be honest .

Yeah , I have a hard time seeing Clottey winning this fight . I think it will be somewhat competitive but he will lose on points .

 

Clottey aint whoop cotto fuk outa here, dude won by a round knockin him down with a JAB i was at that fight, i think cotto had santiago training him for this fight and he wasnt mentally there, STILL won a close fight so please stfu
