I would love to see this fight. I don't want either one to fight Mayweather because there's no point. Let's make it Canelo vs Cotto, Mexico vs Puerto Rico, veteran vs young strong bull, let's do this!!!

For me this is one of the most intriguing match-ups that can be made in all boxing right now; would probably turn into a great scrap as well so hope it happens.

Damn that would be awesome :deal

Cotto's experience at the elite level is ridiculously better quality than Saul's as I don't feel Canelo has fought anyone still elite yet.

True crossroads fight for Cotto...young, strong bull with good overall skills takes on an ever evolving savvy ring vet with tons of war scars. True 50/50 fight if I ever seen one. This comes down to what Cotto can still take and how strong is Ginger? I diagree with those that feel Ginger will develop much further than he has already. Remember this guy has been fighting professionally for years now...look at his record. Unless he employees a trainer that shakes his foundation and wrinkles his game this is pretty much it with him. Ironically enough I don't see why he should change his fight game...he dosent have many dimensions but the ones he does have are extremely well tuned and virtually unbreakable.

I think this fight will happen down the line. I mean that's if Cotto is going to fight again!
