Canelo was signed and ready to fight paul williams..he could give two shits about austin no pop trout.

Canelo is bigger, stronger, younger, and much bigger puncher than cotto. Trout should fight kirkland and bundrage and earn a shot at canelo.

I honestly dont wanna see him run from canelo all night. Im much more interested in a kirkland or cotto fight for may 4...obviously only if floyd bitches out and fights guerrero

Trout, obviously. Bad stylistic match up for Canelo

    Cotto gets flattened

Canelo beats both Trout and Cotto so it doesn't matter which of them he fights. Take it to the bank.

I always said Cotto would've bnen crushed by Canelo. He would've had some success due to Alverez's immobility but when Canelo unleashed his offense, Cotto wouldn't have been able to stand up to it.

I would be surprised if Canelo fights Trout next, but unless he fights Mayweather, he's being put in a tight corner at this point.

Canelo, who sparred triple g an arguably stronger puncher with heavy hands with numerous amateur fights is now scared of pillow fisted trout?

Cool story i would read again if i had the time.

Canelo / Cotto is more exciting, and it makes more money. Expect that fight to get made before a Trout fight happens. Realistically Canelo should probably be fighting Trout , if he cares about the belts. I'd still rather see the Cotto fight.

I don't buy this talk about Canelo 'flattening' cotto. Who has he ever 'flattened' of Cotto's pedigree? He had a hard time taking out Alfonso Gomez. He isn't all that big either. Him and Cotto match up well , great fight.

lol why Canelo - Cotto still there in the mentioning?
Canelo's got to ashamed of himself if he still goes to fight Cotto now.

Trout is the new Bradley-nobody gives a flying **** about this guy.Cotto and Canelo is the only way to go if it's a PPV event, which Showtime needs to pay it's bills on all the boxing they have been broadcasting.

This would be a PPV bust in my opinion. Canelo is not a big enough name for the casual boxing observer and Cotto is on the way out.

Showtime would take a financial bath on this one and may wind up showing amateur bouts in Spokane, Washington after this fiasco you're proposing.

Out of the two, Trout has the better chance to beat Canelo at this point. I think Canelo stops Cotto if they fight next. Besides, Trout won, so he deserve that fight. Plus he called out Canelo!

He should be careful what he wishes for. I believe Canelo will take him out.

I just want to see Canelo fight a truly legit opponent at this point. I don't care who it is beyond that. Dude's only 22, but if he's gonna pretend he's a ****in boss, he needs to start acting like it.

Agreed. He's got a good bit of fights under his belt at an early age. Now it's time to fight people with a good amount of ability to see what he's really made of.

I do like what I've seen of the guy so far, but he hasn't really been tested. That is where you separate the contenders from the pretenders.
