How many people on here were calling him a 39yr old cripple pre fight? Weren't too long before everyone wanted Floyd to fight Martinez. I've got Canelo points but think it will be a great fight!

Maybe it was because he was fighting a one legged boxer?:patsch

Is Freddie the one putting a needle in his ass?

    Canelo stops cotto imo.
And if geale hasnt lost too much from getting ko then he will cause cotto many problems, cotto may beat geale but it may be a robbery

One of the top 3 biggest fight right now (financial and competitive).

Canelo is on a serious high right now. Cotto's corner stops the onslaught.

Canelo has the edge here simply because of his explosive attack and larger size that said I can certainly see cotto finding success with his jab and hook to the body while mixing in some counters and creating angles vs canelos stationary attack. It's hilarious how limited some fans are in truly understanding what took place vs Martinez everyone focuses on the leg and ignores the strategy that was executed. The wide left over a southpaw right shoulder with left foot sitting on the inside of the southpaws right foot, watch some Floyd Patterson fights ....the feints were also beautifully done. Oh well I could go on but the end result would be he beat a crippled faded Martinez lol ignorance is bliss and I rather not burst anyone's bubble and introduce them to reality. Anywho I'd love to see how cotto fairs vs Canelo cotto would be the first fighter that could actually cut the ring and while disturbing Canelos rythem ala Floyd, trout and Lara, of course Floyd won and the other two fell somewhat short and you make the argument Lara beat him and trout was just to inactive.

At this stage, Canelo. Cotto is too far gone. Nothing left against tougher fighters. He is in it strictly for the money now. Time to get out. Canelo will help him make that decision, if it happens.

After watching Canelo/Kirkland I notice Canelo misses a lot of shots and he was starting to get fatigue and it was only the third round. Cotto is a lot better technical fighter than Kirkland and believe he would stop Canelo late (10th) because his body shots are more explosive than anyone Canelo has faced especially Kirkland's

Said it before, but I think this is a really tough one to call. Also one of the top 3 or 4 potential fights in boxing at the moment. Don't even think the Geale fight matters too much - I'd still pay to watch this fight regardless.

Geale is a slightly more durable less skilled version of Yuri Foreman I don't envision cotto will have much trouble and I'd be shocked if he lost....GGG, Canelo and Floyd are the obvious options for cotto if he does his job and gets past the bigger yet less talented Geale.
