I doubt Canelo could make 154 anymore, if he did he would be too drained and would be fighting a strong Crawford. Probably Bud if it happened now
If Alvarez could make weight comfortably, Crawford would be in really tough. Crawford is my favorite active fighter but he is not a big welterweight. Canelo knocked out Kovalev and I think his size and power would just be too much for Bud.
I think Crawford is a big WW. He walks around at 165-170 when he’s not in training. Canelo from 2011-2013 vs current Crawford would’ve been a good fight, but I got Canelo winning. Crawford is not Floyd Mayweather.
I doubt he could make 154, i think his chances of even making 160 are slim to none. Crawford is not a big welter. A big welter is Ennis or even Ugas.
Crawford will beat everybody at the weight he choose to box. he can move up and clean up whole super welter division. Starting from Charlo and finishing with Castano. I would not said that about any other fighter, but his skill level is just to high for me. Let's just wait for couple of weeks to watch how he can handle Porter
Crawford is a cruiserweight when he's not training. https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/terence-crawford-walks-around-as-a-cruiserweight.600888/
Canelo mauls Crawford at the same weight. He is superior in every possible department of boxing except footwork.
I was debating this with someone. If everything was equal, I only see GGG, Spence, Loma, and Usyk beating a Canelo. Crawford gets hit too much
Canelo beats Spence even worse. Canelo could beat Golovkin via second fight strategy. He was very versatile and outworked GGG. Loma and Inoue are only fighters who can beat Canelo at the same weight/height/reach. Canelo is extremely skilled. He is on my P4P all time top 20 based on H2H ability.
