Crawford would be like a fish out of water vs Canelo.

Can Canelo still make 154? Would be interesting there.

This is probably the most passive aggressive post I’ve seen today. I like it.....

Canelo was badly buzzed by Cotto’s older brother at 135lbs just food for thought not that I truly think it’s relevant at this stage in his career. I don’t understand how you can insinuate Bud was avoiding top 140lbs because of fear or lack of ability when he’s clearly gunning in the direction of the top 147lbs now. Why is it so easy for certain posters on here to find reasons to criticize Bud and his career path instead of appreciating his mastery in the ring?

But that fight took place at 147. It was Gamboa who buzzed Bud at 135 maybe that's what confused you..

If canelo goes down to same weight as he was against Mayweather, then there is a big chance he will loose

Yes he was and I believe I mentioned how that observation has lost a bit relevance when compared to today’s version of Canelo. Still it’s importance has its place when one uses Crawford’s momentary buzz versus a more dynamically gifted offensive fighter in Gamboa where Crawford continued to be aggressive whilst buzzed.

Jose Cotto was a career 135lbs/140lbs fighter is what I meant to bring to light. Thanks for the correction.

Not that he was necessarily avoiding the top dogs at 140 but his time at 140 was weak as was his time at 135.....let' be honest he starts camp at 1 80, he could....not that he should.....but he could have moved up to 147 sooner.

He' a very good fighter and as I've said before a million times 147 is where he'll make or break his legacy.

147lbs is stacked and yes it where he'll show us his fighting cloth.

I’m not sure what the issue is regarding the weight cutting? If you can make the weight then why not operate at that weight class? Wouldn’t it be a disadvantage if his body is being compromised by struggling to make to weight meaning he’s more susceptible as a result of cutting the weight?

I hate to plays devils advocate but it’s a necessary evil when debating.

Regarding his weight cut I think it probably did disadvantage him, although with his level of talent and the level of opposition we may nhav seen it (although I could be wrong).

But if he was making weight easily whilst I agree that there would be no need to move up the weight was dead, for arguments sake GGG gets beat for not moving up yet 135 and 140 when Bud ruled was far weaker (again imo) than that of he alleged weak 160.

Honestly whilst I really like Buds talent, I'm not a fan per say but I'm looking forward to his futue work at 147.
