Canelo vs Danny Jacobs - Cinco de May - WHO YOU GOT!?

Jacobs will clearly win 7 rounds, 2 will be very close, and Canelo will win 3.

if canelo gets by jacobs, who i think is his biggest threat at 160, the rest of the field is gravy. canelo is at his peak. he is physically the best he will ever be, and his experience against the best fighters from 3 divisions, have turned him into an impressive package. hate him all you want, he deserves it, but its his time.

 

It would be a great fight. I favor Canelo but Jacobs could make it close.

 

Canelo is the smart choice. Oscar will have a judge or two in his pocket going into the fight, and between the two guys, Canelo has actually shown improvement lately, while Jacobs, is the same old Jacobs. Canelo is crispier on the inside, while Jacobs flails on the inside much of the time. Canelo's jab, is snappier, and more powerful. Jacobs is tall, but he has short arms, and his jab is often shorted, and ends up being more a push touch, instead of a head snapping jab. Their power is negligible. Jacobs hits harder in my opinion, but Jacobs hardly lands his power upstairs in big fights. While Canelo finds ways to land his power to the head and body with frequency when he fights. I didn't keep a tally, but it seemed like Canelo landed far more flush head shots on Golovkin in either of their fights, than Jacobs landed on Golovkin when he fought him. Anway, Canelo by decision.

 

I thought the G fight was gonna be the Pirog fight all over again? Jacobs had cancer pulsing though his viens! If Fury fans can use all the excuses for Fury's drop off, then Jacob's fans can use the cancer as an excuse. By the way, Jacobs was ahead when that knockout happened.

Jacob's gives Canelo all kinds of hell.

 

Jacobs is all wrong for Canelo Cowvarez. He has been fighting slow azz GGG and Fielding. Give him some with fast twitch muscles and cat like athleticism and this guy Clenelo will struggle. I know he looks good right now that's mainly because he is facing some of the slowest robots around. BUT i am telling y'all his day is numbered at this weight.

 

I’m a fan of Jacobs and had him narrowly beating GGG but he’s susceptible to a good counter puncher (Pirog, Mora). I think Canelo hurts him at some stage and stops him.

 

Canelo KO's Jacobs in the 2nd half. Canelo's explosive punching gets to Danny at some point.

Canelo probably gets outboxed for patches but it wouldn't surprise me to see Jacobs taste canvas en route to losing to Canelo.

 

A (genuine) win for Canelo, I think. Jacobs has size, but there are levels, and I think Canelo has more in his arsenal.

 

Like I said before, Jacobs handled G and all the skills he brought to the table. I think he will use his hieght, jab and movement a hell of a lot better than Fielding did. Add to the mix, he hits harder than Fielding and it's a different fight.

 

Obviously i think Canelo and Oscar and GBP are the biggest scumbags in the world and their cheating is varied and many and they would refuse to play fair against a 3 legged blind kitten. However.

Canelo beats Jacobs clean fair and square. I just dont get it with Jacobs hes got the ability but he seems to struggle to really use it and i really dont know why it comes in flashes, maybe the fact its Canelo will raise its game like it did when it was GGG. But i think Canelo is just better, all round. Jacobs jab keep him at bay? I dont think so. But its a hell of a fight, something to get really excited about and turn us nut jobs on here a bit crazy, again.

 

He just cannot put everything together. He is the weakest of the MW champs because of this.
