GGG could not attack Canelo's body because he was too slow and would get countered. Benavidez is quick and won't have that problem. Bivol was piecing Canelo up with combinations, Benavidez throws combos of his own. I don't understand why some people think Canelo wins and easy.

I think Benavidez has a special kind of killer instinct above and beyond what others have and he's going to be too intense and bring too much power and pressure to Canelo.

If Canelo thought it was easy he'd make the fight.

Was exactly the same with Floyd-Margarito !! and for the same reason both Floyd & Canelo lack the intestinal fortitude. Both know they'd get smashed !!!!!

Margo was a glove loading bum who wouldn't have won a round against pbf. David actually has boxing skills big difference there.

I said it 10 times before and i will do it 10 times again: Benavidez is going to beat the living crap out of Saul Alvarez if they ever share a ring for a fight. I give Clenelo literally ZERO chance to beat Benavidez in a fair boxing fight. Clenelo is a punching bag and way too small. Usually it's Clenelo who is outgrinding his opponents with pressure and volume but he's the guy here who is getting bullied. Benavidez could fight at Cruiserweight with his body composition and a few years of building up muscles (6'1'', lanky frame and basically not a lot of muscles). Clenelo tires and gasses and Benavidez only getting better from round to round. I think he could potentially stop Clenelo late. Unlike Bivol, Benavidez wants to kill his opponents and throws bombs and engages. I'd love to see this fight in the near future. Benavidez is not a blue chip prospect technically but his style is vicious and tough to deal with.

Yeah sure Your little pansy idol was scared ****less of Antonio. Even Fluffys goons took a hike too when they saw him coming. You're right though Antonio never did win a round against Fluffy, hard to win a round when your opponent is terrified to get in the ring with you Floyd didn't have the intestinal fortitude Yet you idolize him !!
    WHY?????

Benevidez taking 10, 11 rounds to take out journeymen and Canelo is afraid of him? Jesus some of you are hilarious. I think it would be a close fight and for that reason I guess I'd slightly lean Canelo but at this stage Benevidez may be able to crack Canelo's chin.

I'll be interested to see who Benevidez fights after he obviously beats Plant. Will he now get pressured to fight the likes of Bivol, Zurdo and Bieterbiev and be called a ducker if not? Benevidez is HUGE and could easily go up one or 2 divisions.

For Canelo I am more interested to see if he can even remotely compete with Bivol before seeing him face a lesser challenge in Benevidez.

Yeah, I guess that’s true. That’s why he never fought Mayweather, Trout, Lara, GGG x3, or Bivol.
Like I’ve said in other threads, Benavidez obviously passes the eye test, but his record isn’t exactly full of killaz. LeMule and Dirrell are probably his best wins and there isn’t one name on there that Canelo wouldn’t beat, too.

What is the big deal about Trout again outside of Cotto? Why do people act like this is some all time great win?
