Anthony Dirrell and Jermall Charlo are two other possible candidates to face Canelo in September.

Maybe, I think Derev's body work and better footwork could give Canelo real issues. Canelo, if he still wants to fight Mexican style, is gonna trade with The Technician, and if he can hurt GGG downstairs, he can Canelo. Also, Canelo's speed comes with stamina, he slows when tired. Body punching will slow those hands down.

I'm absolutely positive this would be an amazing fight. I'm also positive this is gonna be a pain in the arse to score (which should be good for an aspiring judge, like myself :p) so I can see a lot of controversy here too.

I am sure this will be an awesome fight a WAR even. Of course it will be hard to score as Canelo's style always makes rounds hard to score but that's what makes his fights so fun and intense.

Its a nice stay busy fight, and Canelo will probably look great, so it may turn out to be a showcase fight.

Even though Dchenko has lost to both Jacobs and GGG (debatable) I've always liked this fight and I expect it to be very exciting while it lasts.

How old is Derev? 35,, moving up in weight, Saunders was much more dangerous

Not sure how Deravy will look at 168, but should be a good fight nonetheless.

Always liked this fight. The round robin matches between Canelo, GGG, Jacobs and Derev have all been good, competitive fights, don't see why this wouldn't be another one to complete the set.

Would probably rather it was back at middle since not sure what Derev will look like at 168, but he is a strong boy and his pressure will make for an interesting fight. Stylewise, it might favour a prime counterpuncher like Canelo as opposed to an aging come forward fighter like triple G, but will be interesting to find out...

Count me in. Out of all of the potential options with will get most nods of approval from boxing fans. The general public will be like who?

Derev is gonna finish with a record that didn’t reflect his talent at all

Some of Derevyanchenkos early fights were at around 164lbs and as high as 167lbs there abouts, I think he should be fine. I really look forward to this fight as well.
