Golovkin looked like a guy at or near the end of the road for most of the rounds I saw (fell asleep for last three). I don't think Canelo emerges with much credit either. Neither of them wanted to make it a real dog fight.
While I watched it live I thought Canelo won wide. But on my rewatch I scored it 114-114, now I had a few swing rounds so 115-113 either way or even 116-112 canelo is fine.
You're trying to play damage control and give GGG rounds for doing nothing. Canelo won wide. He won the first 8 rounds easy and some of the last 4.
It's not trolling numbnuts, try watching it again, there's been countless people cite it gets closer and closer on repeat viewings. I saw what they saw the first time around. Because I have a keener eye than the average fan.
G 1 Canelo 2-8 G last 4 After 6 it seemed over. But then G had the last third surge making it closer than what it appeared if you tuned out.
I had it 115-113 on my card. First round was close, could have gone either way. After round 8, Canelo was gassed and Golovkin took over, taking all 4 rounds. Don't know why people were so upset with the decision, 115-113 / 116-112 was perfectly fine.
They said Golovkin landed two jabs in round 1. How stupid is that? GGG landed two very hard jabs that knocked Canelo off balance, but those weren't the only two he landed thats for sure.
