Well GGG always is too passive & never goes Full Sadistic Animal on Canelo & treats their matches somewhat like a sparring session, even in the rematch it was only in the last rounds 9 - 11 when he finally decided to really put it on him & match Canelo punch for punch with real hard intentions, That's why Canelo in both fights ended up hurting GGG more & scoring higher counts of power punches, GGG would have to go all out on him from the beginning of Round 1 instead of being a passive Boxer with a Jab hoping to win on the Cards as that will not work especially this time, Regarding Marquez he did come on strong when he was able to drop Pacquiao, but then when Pac dropped him back & started to turn up the heat, i felt it was more Pacquiao who became for a better word Too Trigger happy & in that fight he over punched causing himself to get too overly greedy while Marquez caught him & landed that final bomb.
Unfortunately I see Clenelo breaking GGG down and really beating him up. He might knock him out since GGG is very over the hill at this point but it could go 12 rounds with Clenelo winning a wide decision victory.
Alvarez wins this via KO or TKO sometime during the first half of the fight. Age has caught up with Triple G and if he doesn't have what it takes to keep Canelo off of him then we will get steamrolled whether he has a granite chin or not. I can see body punches ending this. All of that being said, I hope I'm wrong.
Question more than a statement: ya'll think Nelo an old 32yo sporting 61 pro fights? Never mind amateurs having many more, he's been pushing 10-12 rd 3 minutes fights for over 1,5 decades, no headgear, lighter gloves, must feel the wear and tear on his bod. He's at 450 rounds and over 50 hard training camps and easily over 4000 sparring rounds, often going the limit to make the weight limit, except for his latest bouts. Has he aged more in the past 12 months than GGG?
But can Canelo still put out the same effort of 2018? Can he throw that many punches or is he slipping? He looked menacing against Saunders and Plant but not that impressive, and the same vs Bivol, but he got outclassed by the naturally bigger man. We will see, Canelo hasn't been hit this hard in a while.
i dont think so. i didnt notice any decline in the bivol fight. his reaction time was good, timing was there.
G Cube will shook up the world by getting KO'd in the 10th round. Canelo is on a clandestine mission from the boxing gods.
Roy Jones Jr bought up an important point. A big factor in all of this and what could end up proving to be the deciding factor is who wants it more and that is clearly GGG. He’s got something to prove whereas Canelo seems not to care that much.
