I was thinking the same until I saw the crowd at the weigh-in, and the countless GGG/Canelo threads.

    It's ON!

GGG is forty. Fighting with added weight for the first time. If he can weather Canelos early blitz he may have a shot to wear him down as the fight progresses. I agree that he needs to be aggressive though.

What makes this fight very exciting is the fact that both fighters have something to prove and a lot to lose. GGG has a chip on his shoulder and really wants to avenge his only loss while Canelo wants prove that the loss to Bivol hasn’t affected him. I think this could be similar to Pac vs JMM IV and Fury vs Wilder III in terms of being the most thrilling and action packed. Hope to see an epic conclusion to this rivalry.

For some reason i see GGG catching Canelo with a devastating counter, with even more power than usual. GGG isn't saying it but he is seething inside.

I don't think he is bent on Mexican style, but i think he has mayhem on his mind, maybe a little Kronk style. This is gonna be brutal, you have crazy rock headed Canelo trying to break Golovkin down or take him out, and you have Golovkin with 8 more pounds of brute force looking to catch Canelo coming in. Its going to be amazing.

Joe Rogan who is well connected to combat sports and has been around many fighters said Golovkin is likely roided to the gills

If GGG doesn’t strain one of his ancient hips on the way to the ring he may stand a chance of making this an interesting fight, even at his advanced age.
