As to the OP.... JOE C was ALWAYS an elite boxer. Not some boxer puncher like Canelo. And Lacy was a one punch wonder. Nothing but intimidating and a good L hook. GGG is Lacy Joe Cs skills and Hagler chin
Oddly enough I was thinking the same thing and mentioned it in a earlier thread. Switch Golovkin's name with Lacy's with the same resume and suddenly he defeated all bums in the eyes of fake supremacist.
I don't see the comparison really. Canelo ins't being massively underrated, as Calzaghe was at the time. GGG is far more experienced than Lacy was, and is fully dominating his division.
Canelo has slow hand and foot speed.. Average boxing skills and Ring IQ.. They both have great chins. Calzaghe wouldn't of lost to a Mayweather type fighter. GGG will KO Canelo within 10 rounds..bet on it:deal
