I never spoke to how relevant they were. I simply pointed out what the overwhelming fan/press view of the fight was, which was that it was one-sided, and a lot more one-sided than the official judges had it. Which is ironic because that destroys the theory that was promoted for years that the judges only score favorably for Canelo and would never score favorably for an opponent. They did just that in the 3rd fight which is something I happend to predict, and when I predicted that, GGG fans doubted that, but then it happened, and they refuse to acknowledge that or give me credit for predicting it. Instead they do what they always do : make excuses and play damage control for GGG.
So basically you wasted an entire post jabbering on about press scores. Since, of course, you'd like them to count when it suits you. classic weasel shadow
The reality is, you use press scores to justify your own narrative only when it suits you. That was the point. Did it just go over your head or something? Or, i don't know, maybe you are just really slow to grasp concepts foreign to you.
For starters GGG won the first round of the 3rd fight. He controled it with the jab, regardless of what the biased DAZN comentators were saying that he only landed 1 or 2 jabs. If GGG won the last 4, thats 5 rounds right there. Rounds 6,&8 were really close. Frankly most the rounds were pretty close. Canelo didn't win them by much. That why Canelo ran out of steam late.
In regards to fight 2, the press had it something like this, 32 for GGG, 15 had it a draw, and two had it for Canelo. What you said was incorrect.
No, you misread it. I said a lot more scored the 2nd for Canelo. A lot more as in a lot more compared to the first fight.
The masses (most fans, all press) did not agree with the closeness of those scores. You're in the clear minority in your view that it was close or that the judges scores are accurate. Which is fine by the way, I've been in that situation myself. But after 5 years of being told, by you and others that I'm wrong for having the first 2 for Canelo because "press scores" "fan polls" etc, now you're in that boat.
GGG landed more than 1 or 2 jabs. In the first minute alone, I counted about 6 jabs landed by GGG. However most were light baby jabs that had no impact. They were not effective jabs, so they were not significant punches as it pertains to the scoring of the round. The best jab by GGG in the first minute was the one at 2:45 on the clock, and as he landed that, Canelo landed a jab of his own that was much better and harder. Here are the rest of the punches landed in the first minute : 2:51 GGG jab through the guard, may have hit some gloves but it looks to have landed. 2:47 Canelo left hook misses, GGG counter jab may have grazed the shoulder. 2:45 Good jab by GGG 2:43 Both land jabs, Canelo's better. 2:33 GGG jab blocked, counter jab by Canelo 2:27 Belt-line right hand by Canelo to hip area. I don't have a problem with not counting this as landed. 2:22 Light baby jab by GGG 2:20 Light baby jab by GGG 2:18 Light jab by GGG, mostly hit gloves. (Insignificant) 2:16 Feint by Canelo, GGG flinches, Canelo lands a left hook to the face. 2:14 GGG blocks/parries a Canelo jab. 2:08 GGG jab misses short. 2:07 Both Canelo and GGG appear to land a jab, Canelo first then GGG. 2:06 GGG jab's, hard to tell if it lands, again light and ineffective through the guard, possibly hit gloves. 2:05 GGG left hook misses. 2:00 Canelo throws a 3 punch combo, first 2 miss, the 3rd, a left hook to the forehead, lands. So in the first minute, GGG landed some jabs, most of them were light and ineffective. Canelo landed 2 power shots, both left hooks. Although he landed less jabs than GGG, the ones he landed were harder and more effective.
