Wow, you really run with that 154 -168 stuff. To me he mean't anybody at 154lbs could come up to fight him and anybody at 160lbs to 168lbs if the fight makes sense is a possibility, sure why not? He could hang with all of them. Oh, and he was fighter enough to beat Canelo, just not nearly as bad as i thought he might.i would like to see him get his hunger back and go after Andrade, Charlo, Murata. Basically cleanout the middleweight division a second time because to his critics one time wasn't enough.

Well, duh, obviously. There's a reason Canelo wanted to drag Golovkin to 155 and it's not because "he wasnt ready". I love the way that you're spinning around and around on this point, trying to craft a narrative that Canelo's lover Oscar had somehow held a gun to his head and forced him to fight at 155 against his will. 155 is called Caneloweight for a reason, and that reason is because he fought there several times and tried to get Golovkin down to it as well.

Canelo is the one with the long history of favourable decisions even when the fights were razor close or lost. Golovkin has exactly one decision that he could well have lost but got the win, which is Derevyanchenko.

Well of course Canelo was going to wait, he could see that GGG was still too fresh and would have pushed his **** in at the time.

Canelo had never fought a real full-fledged Middleweight in his life. And he was being pressed to move up in weight and fight the best Middleweight in the world straight away. All because he won a belt from Cotto at 155 who was defending the MW Title at catchweights?

You attribute Canelo waiting to move up as a calculated strategy to age GGG, how could he predict that GGG would suddenly start slipping and looking less than steller later that year? It had more to do with Canelo and his team needing time to take care of pending litigation and find a real Middleweight like Chavez Jr to fight before fighting GGG.

Ask yourself, would it have been smart for Canelo or his team to get right in with GGG in Sept 2016 without ever fighting a Middleweight before that point? He took ONE more fight at 154, then moved up in his next fight to fight Chavez in what everyone knew was a warmup for GGG. It was a relatively short period of time from when GGG wanted the fight to when it happened. If GGG started slipping and showed signs of aging during that time, that's on GGG for not staying sharp in the gym, that was not something anyone could forsee in May of 2016. It was not unreasonable for a career 154-lber to need to fight a full fledged Middleweight like Chavez Jr before getting in with GGG.

The path Canelo and his team took over those 2 fights were smart and reasonable given the weight he was at and what he was being asked to do. I suggest you stop crying about it, it just comes off as you being a sore loser becuase of how it ended up. GGG should have been able to hold it together between mid 2016 and mid 2017, instead GGG according to you rapidly aged during that time, what excuse makers GGG and his fans are.

    2016 GGG v 2016 Canelo ? GGG on points.

Especially given that 2017 GGG beat him but didn't get the decision

I agree with Canelo having his hand raised in the rematch however.

It should be 1-1 for both men.

That's because he WAS the full fledged middleweight using drugs to boil down to fight 154 lb guys.

... because that's what old fighters do

Nope, it was smart of his team to bulk him up on mexican cow meat and to age GGG even more. And Golovkin still defended his title successfully so I guess they shoulda waited another few years, huh?

Shadow is in the same broad class of deluded fanboy as the guys celebrating Park Si-hun's win over RJJ or Toney's win over Tiberi or Joe Louis beating Walcott. :Laie_22mini:

Yeah well done kid, some guy said your hero won.

    Have a biscuit. :eaea:

the poll speaks volumes btw. THE FACT YOU FEEL THE NEED THE DEFEND CANELO ON EVERY THREAD SHOWS HOW INSECURE YOU ARE ABOUT CANELOS SO CALLED VICTORY.
