Canelo vs Golovkin is for the real p4p 1 spot rather then Ward vs Kovalev

Nah. I don't think Nelo has the required skill level to hang with Ward and think he'd seriously outgunned by a similarly sized Kovalev.

chocaltito would also not be able to hang with rios but he still is above him at the p4p rankings

I'm scaling it pound for pound. Canelo biggest skill is arguably his ability to cut weight. That wouldn't come into play if he and Ward or he and Kovalev were to face off in a pound for pound sense. I think both have a higher skill level (Ward much more so) and that Kovalev would still be a ferocious puncher.

Gonzales vs Inoue or Lomachenko vs Walters are for the real NR 1

Beating Canelo wouldn't make Golovkin the #1 spot. However, Canelo beating Golovkin would make him the #1 P4P.

Similarly, Kov beating Ward doesn't make him P4P no.1 either, but Ward winning makes him the P4P king.

If Ward beats Kovalev and Canelo beats Golovkin, I'd still have Ward ahead p4p. Ward hasn't put a step wrong so far, undefeated and never even been close to losing. Canelo lost clearly to the much smaller and older PBF and struggled with guys like Trout.

I also think Canelo is a MW who's drained down to LMW, so fighting at MW is quite natural to him. He's been 170+ lbs when rehydrated for years. Ward, on the other hand, is not a natural LHW.

Canelo isn't a highly ranked on the p4p list so i doubt this will be for the #1 spot. The ONLY fight to determine who's the #1 would be between #1 and #2.

Canelo is only top of the duck for duck rankings

If you believe that Canelo is on the same level as Ward and Kovalev, then I'm quite certain you started following boxing 2 weeks ago.

    Idiot.

No because GG brings nothing to the table

No big wins, no lineal championships or Olympic gold medals.

Those paper belts he has don't mean anything

Just face first fighter draining himself to 160 picking on welterweights

Wtf has the Bum King done to be worthy of being p4p number 1? LOL

I'm sketchy with having him top 5.

That doesn't really make much sense to me.

Canelo is 3 weight classes smaller than these guys, but I guarantee you put him in the ring against them today and he will give a good account of himself.

P4P he is much stronger than both and has a better chin. He has great hand speed as well.

His ability to transition from defense to attack is excellent. He makes good fighter's in his division look amateur.
