Canelo is not a tracker and is flat footed. Jacobs uses his length and running and picks off Ginger all night to a TKO victory.
Jacobs would be a nightmare for Canelo tbh. Tall, big, rangey with fast hands and mobility. I'd say Canelo could still maybe pull it off, since his stamina problems might be due to weight cutting and he's got good skills, timing and power himself. That is, if it wasn't for the fact that Jacobs appears to have a much better chin than we (well, speaking for myself, now) gave him credit for AND he hits like a truck and had great late stamina. Have to favour Jacobs in this one.
Canelo is flat footed but GGG wasn't exactly moving around either. Golovkins slight but effective defense gave Jacobs a lot of problems. Canelo has great upper body movement and could potentially make Jacobs miss even more than GGG did. I don't know if Canelo has the jab and pressure to play the aggressor against Jacobs but if he does I can see him being successful with the same plan GGG used. However if Jacobs sees Canelo as less of the threat and pushes Canelo on the backfoot with a combination of power and speed Canelo has never seen before then he could make it an easy night by getting his shots off first with his superior reach.
