Think Jacobs was just flat from him not being able to make the weight anymore. I highly doubt he wanted to be fined all that money but obviously felt like he had no choice, it definitely showed in the fight.
I cannot disagree with anything you just posted and watching a lot of the highlights in slow motion, Danny had a look on his face like he was acting. I'm glad somebody else posted this
a) styles make fights. b) Jacobs didn't fake landing a right hand that badly hurt Canelo, with fat stacks of cash on the line these guys aren't going to botch a prearranged fight with a flush bomb like that. c) yes, yes, we all heard GGG's cute little quip about it being a sparring session, come up with your own original content instead of just latching on to what he said in an attempt to be snide and taking it in ludicrous literal fashion.
You're the one who's trolling. Do you have any idea how good Jacobs would have to be to PURPOSELY lose a fight, still make it close, without canelo knowing about it? Holding back is only an option if you're 1. Gonna lay down 2. THAT much better that you can make anything you want in the ring Anyone who has boxed will tell you that it's an absolute fight for survival in there no matter how "tactical" it looks and the only way there is room for games is if you're fighting someone several levels below you If Jacobs is that much better than canelo, then he's better than prime RJJ and must have thrown the GGG and Pirog fights as well. And financially, Jacobs would have sacrificed 100+ million for potential rematches, trilogy fights against GGG and Canelo plus whatever else he could have made once he became a superstar by beating canelo. You really think golden boy cut him a 150 million dollar cheque? I guess we won't see him ever fight again then huh? Use your brain.
Boxing is a dangerous sport. You can get your lights shut off at any given moment, possibly get killed in the ring. I highly doubt it was fixed considering both men landed some flush shots on each other. Like another poster said... Use your head.
Slowly it will dawn upon you the common denominator shared by Jacob's other fights but not with Saturday night's bout....
Lol guess it makes Austin Trout and Lara and even Matthew Hatton better than Jacobs huh lol not a chance in hades! Canelo is overrated and protected or these guys are just that bad! We as fans should have to settle for a guy not giving it his all if we are paying this is pro boxing its all or nothing not ride the wave with no risk and taking a pay check or is that what these modern fans want??
Maybe if you know what a real boxing matched look like you'd have a better understanding of laying it all on the line!
If this is the standard for the sport nowadays! Take no chances and get a pay day then boxing is doomed and the fans are not the same fans who supported the warriors of the past!
Hey a fact is a fact! It was a sparring session low risk and high reward for Jacobs nothing but a pay out!
