Yea for Kirkland's well known raw power and aggressiveness, if Canelo plays his cards right, he can systematically break him down. If he is able to do that, though, Hatton must be given much, much more credit for taking those bombs that he did! Also, Kirkland does seem to have more gaps in his defense than Canelo does and I was shocked how he just walked through Julio's shots, who was supposed to be a bonafide 154 puncher, but then maybe I gave too much credit to Kirkland as Angulo also did the same and was perhaps more impressive in destroying Julio. Canelo needs more pop, speed, and defense in order to really be a serious threat at 154. And in 2-3 yrs we should see the best of him.
Not really a bad logic.... Cotto Jnr is a lightweight... wasnt a big puncher at lightweight... comes in looking like arreola and rocks Canelo... Why cant Kirkland? Nothings changed fighting at the same weight etc/...
didn't pacquiao get kod 3 times and now he considered by many goat #1 and taking shots from power puncher like margarito or marquez. some boxer evolve.
Kirkland is too tough, durable and hits too hard for Canelo. Canelo has the advantage in skill but thats it... Kirkland ko's him within 7
HEY! I FEEL BETTER! Im not impressed with alvarez at all. I think he's slow and would get slaughtered by the top of the 154 in div. VANES WOULD OUT-BOX HIM! Kassim Ouma would test him i think...
