I'm not a Canelo's hater, everyone who has followed my posts knows that i like Canelo-cant say the same about Junior-but its clear that he wont expose his title against a real contender(talking about Cotto,Lara,Molina,Margarito,Angulo,etc).. well, since this is a fact and we are gonna have to adapt to it because what matters is to sell tickets to see him fighting, what about Yudel Johnson? he is undefeated, doesnt have a great punch power to keep canelo safe, has looked good on TV,coming with a good amateur pedigree from the cuban school of boxing.
Will somebody go for it? doesnt he look better than Alfonso Gomez?

At least Gomez is a known fighter. Jhonson has no name recognition.

They'll eventually step Canelo up in competition. In reality, the kid is still a prospect, just one who happens to have been given a belt.

If Jhonson is in shape to go for 12 rounds, I see him outboxing canelo, and he does have good power when sitting on his shots.

Canelo isn't ducking anyone the kid is still young. Hes done more than Berto when he got a belt just by facing Cotto, Baldomir and Hatton.

Berto's one and only real fight was Collazo before Ortiz....and he didn't even win that ****.

    Matt Hatton
    Jose Cotto
    Lovemore N'dou
    Carlos Manuel Baldomir

Not elite fighters, but they're 10x more competition that bull**** "Miguel Rodriguez" that HBO/Berto was serving us on their "Championship Boxing" series.

That shits too funny, you should have used first names, you thru me off and I watched all the fights, Berto's comp was crap but honestly Collazo, Quintana & Urango are better than Matthew Hatton, Jose Cotto & Lovemore Ndou, I mean lets just be honest...

Collazo is yeah I'll give you that, but Urango and Quitana?? Hell no.

N'Dou and Baldomir were legit champs.
Quitana held a belt for a few months before losing to Paul.
Urango was and has never been **** but a standing punching bag. Dude couldn't move his head if you shot at him with a bullet the size of the empire state building.

Collazo, Quintana and Urango came AFTER Berto won the belt. He's talking about his path towards a paper title. And honestly, Rhodes isn't much worse than Quintana or Urango were at that point in their careers.

I'll be disappointed if he isn't facing real competition by next year, but the kid's still basically a prospect at this point.
