HELL YES! My boy k-9 getting the shot! WHO LET THE DOG OUT!!!! WHO, WHO, WHO! Who let the dog out?! WHO, WHO, WHO?! This will be a decent style mesh. . K-9 comes forward, and does his best work on the inside. . . He is also VERY physically strong (kind of like Bradley - not muhc punching power, but strong physically). . He very well could be able to manhandle Canelo on the inside. You guys are writing this fight off. . .
So... you're trolling? He hasn't really been defeated. He's better, and better known than Trout. As a business move I understand K9, but why risk scheduling another fighter with unfinished busines before he's 100% available? Sounds like risky bsiness to me :good Let K9 fight Spinks and just schedule the best fighter available (Lara!). From the options right now Lara and Quintana are the safest (I forgot about Quintana earlier). But Lara is the better fighter, although I would understand why GBP would go with Quintana over Lara also. But as a boxing fan, aren't you tired of seeing top fighters get screwed? I mean the draw against Molina could have been a win for Lara, the williams fight was a robbery, and after desperately calling out all fighters (even out of his weightclass) the best option for Lara was to fight Hearns at middleweight. Now, he's obviously the best fighter available to fight for the title but he's being passed up because this is a busines? Outside of Cotto none of the possible opponents are really known, why not just fight the best fighter available? It would be terrific experience for Canelo to face and beat a fighter as difficult as Lara. Part of the business of boxing is to bring up a fighter and make him look good, but you also have to bring him up right with the right experience. Fighting Lara may not be the best financial option right now (although there wouldn't be much of a difference as the others aren't really known either), but it could be the best business move down the line by providing Canelo with quality opponents and developing him as a complete fighter.
I bet many of you didn't know that tommy hearns jr vs erislandy lara was a wbc light-middleweight eliminator bout,go look on box rec.The top 3 wbc ratings has cotto at 1,james kirkland 2 and lara at 3,since cotto can't fight that date and kirkland priced himself out, then that makes lara his mandatory.
COme on, you can make a better argument Molina BEAT Lara, than you can for Lara beating Molina. . . I thought draw was the right decision. Of course he beat Williams, but he still has a blemish on his record - a LEGIT BLEMISH because he DID NOT beat Molina. I do agree taht Lara is definitely the fight that should happen (from a HARDCORE boxing fan's perspective). The style mesh would also likely be a good fight - Canelo pressing forward, which is where Lara thrives. . . Unless it's an awkward guy like Molina. . . But Lara, from a business standpoint, is BY FAR the "highest risk/lowest reward" fight because mainstream fans are not familiar with him. . . Although mainstream fans also are not familiar with K9, he's a less risky fight. . . I think K9 is the SECOND BEST availabe option right now behind Lara, so I have no problem with K9/Canelo. . K9 would make for a lot better fight than Molina, who, despite being better, is prone to clinching 10 times a round.
WBC trolled you. . .n Everybody knows "WBC mandatories" have no real right to challnege for hte title unless Slimy man wants them to.
Interesting, did not know that. Getting a mandatory out of the way sounds like a good business move so that the mandatory fight doesn't become an obstacle in preventing bigger fights down the line. :hey
Lol, like it would anyway. . . This is WBC we're talking about. . . They are trolling people by making them believe their rankings, and mandatories count for anything.
Neither champion is calling out the other,so why should they not fight their mandatory's,it's how they did it back in the day.
I really don't see see Molina beating Lara as more legitimate than the other way around, but I might have had bigger expectations from Molina as I saw it after I heard a lot of people crying that he got robbed. Draw seemed fair to me too, but I really didn't see Lara get beat, and I did see Molina outboxed for the most part. I understand Lara is not knowm, but neither are the other options. K9 is an all right option, but the guy is already tied up with another fight. September is just around the corner and they can't risk K9 being upset by Spinks.
I know it's the WBC, but we can't play along with their bull**** decisions, we need to complain and call them out to make things as right as they could be. So if Lara is the mandatory, why not spread the word on who deserves the fight?
you do realize Lara has a fight coming up right? What the hell does beating Lara mean for down the line the guy drew with Molina? what does boxer getting screwed have to do with Lara fighting Canelo?
I did not know Lara had a fight coming up but, I'm sure it can be called off, while K9 needs to fight Spinks. Beating Lara is great experience for Canelo, it will make him a better fighter, more so than facing lesser fighters. I guess he could also face Molina since he's also on the same level and would provide good experience. Boxers getting screwed has a lot to do with Lara facing Canelo because he deserves the fight and he's being screwed out of it!
They do know it's almost july and they have yet to officially find a opponent, they should just move the date and fight cotto in like october or november.I think it should be alvarez vs lara, cotto vs trout and kirkland vs the winner of k9 vs spinks.
:rofl So you're bascially admiting you have no argument. Lara has a stay busy fight, nothing that can't be changed.
