Is Pavlik sober, if so he could win a decison

 

Canelo would be too slick, Canelo via clear UD or late stoppage.

 

Pavlik beats his ass. He'd be a style nightmare for Canelo.

 

Pavlik would walk into counters and fail to hurt Canelo He might have marginal success sitting behind his jab.

 

Who says Golov is a harder puncher than Pavlik? Based on what?

 

Pavlik at his very best grinds Canelo down. He was huge, would control distance with his jab, and push Canelo back with his pressure and two-fisted attack. I don't think the 2017/2018 version of GGG that Canelo fought would beat Pavlik either.

 

Would the venue be in any of the protected Mexican's strongholds?

 

Canelo would get the decision but whether he would actually win or not is another matter.

I like Pavlik as a fighter but he's being massively overrated in this thread.

 

Quite the contrary. Clenelo is being overrated here.

He arguably doesn't even beat Taylor.

Prime Pavlik is actually underrated.

 

He fought two savvy world class boxers in his career and failed twice. Taylor was not savvy.
